Dances are so fun and some of the best memories that you get to take away from high school. My Nephew came up with this tumbler themed promposal idea. Isn’t it so cute! Diet Coke is the way to my heart, so I just happen to think that it’s genius.

Tumbler Themed Promposal Idea:

If you know me (I hope you do by now) you know that I like to keep things super simple. I am the queen of coming up with cute ideas that are extremely easy to put together. I don’t always have time to put together a promposal idea, especially if it’s last minute. All you need for this idea is a couple of items and 5 minutes. But at the same time it looks thought out and it’s SO cute!

Supply List:

• Cute tumbler
• Tissue paper (optional)
• Skewers
• Packing tape
• Foam (anything that you can fill the bottom of the tumbler with to stick the skewers in)
• Soda related candies. Here is a list of what we used: Root Beer Barrels, Wax Bottles, Haribo “Happy Cola”, and Soda Pop flavored Hi-Chews.

Once you have all of your supplies you can finally put this cute promposal idea together. You can fill the bottom of the tumbler with the foam that you choose. Then take your tissue paper and put it over the top of the tumbler. Then it’s as simple as taping the rest of the candy to individual skewers, and poking the skewers through the tissue paper and into the foam for support.Super simple, right!?

Now all you have to do is add this cute tag.I have it all ready for you to print. Just right click and save to your computer, then open in a program like Word or Pages and size how you want, then print.

Another Fun Way to Use This Idea:

This is the same idea, just in poster form! How fun is this?! Remember that you can be creative with simple promposal posters.  I love in Utah and if you don’t know, we are famous for our soda shops. We have them everywhere. My Nephew went to “Fiiz” and got an empty 44 ounce styrofoam cup, then cut it in half and glued it to the poster. He then ordered clear mini ornaments from Amazon to make the bubble effect. The bubbles are totally optional. It’s just an easy way to make the poster more fancy-like.

The more I look at it the more I love it!

Finding the perfect way to invite someone to the prom seems to be a major decision. Are you coming up blank? If so, no worries. I’m here for ya. I have this funny chair promposal that will make your date laugh for sure! And do you know the best part? It couldn’t be simpler. All you need is a poster board and a chair!

Funny Chair Promposal:

As you can see, it’s as simple as I promised. Just a chair and a poster and you’ll have yourself a date! Who can say no to a date with humor?

Shopping List:

• Poster Board
• Chair (Any Kind Of Chair)

You can use any chair you can find. We used a camp chair because they are easy to find and inexpensive. Simpler is always better…it’s my catch phrase. Prom can be stressful for young people to plan, the asking doesn’t need to be.

Once you have your poster written, you are ready to deliver it. We just left the poster on the chair and rang the doorbell and took off. If you want to embellish the scene at all you can add a drink or candy to the chair.

Prom is thee biggest dance of the year and with a house full of teenagers I’m here for it! From looking for the perfect outfit to deciding where to eat, prom is a big deal. So why not start it with a bang with a really fun promposal idea? And again, I’m here for it! I’ll help you find the perfect way to ask your perfect date to the prom. And it could not be simpler. This frog themed promposal is super simple and so cute…so let’s hop to it!

Frog Themed Promposal Idea:

Isn’t this promposal simply rib-betting (see what I did there)! If you’ve been around for awhile you know how I feel about keeping things simple. Simple is ALWAYS better. Things don’t need to be complicated to be amazing. And this promposal idea sticks with the simple. You only need a few items and 5 minutes and you are set to go!

Let’s talk about the frogs for a second. We found these solar powered frogs (their eyes light up) at our local store. If you can’t find a frog figurine, you can use a package of gummy frogs. If you use gummy frogs you can spread the gummies along the poster board. Super cute and really simple.

Once you are all done writing on your poster board all you have to do is deliver it. We just set it up on the porch and rang the doorbell. Such a fun surprise and so cute!

But while it’s been an adjustment, it’s also been such fun. We love seeing our boys growing and hitting new miles stones, one of them being the school dances. They have been such fun. I have hung up our diaper bags and sipper cups and have entered the world of high school. My kiddos are almost grown and even though I can’t believe it, I’ve definitely entered a different phase of life. One of the things I’m starting to learn is how important the school dances are to the kiddos. They are a huge part of the high school experience, starting with the invitation to the dances. These invitations are called promposals, which is just a fun way to extend an invitation to the dance.

I love all of the fun and simple promposals, and are all over coming up with them. My advice…keep them simple and have fun. I have tons of ideas for you, after all, us mamas need to stick together.

Promposals:

I have some simple ideas for you to get the dance started on the right foot. I’m a huge fan of keeping things simple, including promposals.

Just Popped By Promposal:

This promposal idea could not be more simple! You really won’t need much to get it set up, and it is so quick to put together.

Shopping List:

• Balloons
• Poster Board
• Confetti
• Markers
• Paper Strips

Let’s put this together!

We want the person who is being invited to know who is doing the inviting, so we will be including the name in the balloons. You can either just right the name on one strip of paper and include it in one of the balloons, or you can do one letter of the name in each balloon. Whichever way you go, you will include the paper and the confetti in the balloons before blowing them up.

Before attaching the balloons to the poster board, write your question with fun colorful markers. Attach your balloons with tape to the top of the poster board.

That’s it! You are ready to deliver this fun and simple promposal. Now all you have to do it leave it on the door step of the person you are asking to the dance. So simple!

This promposal idea was so simple, and I love the way it turned out. Here’s what you’ll need to complete this promposal.

Shopping List:

• Poster Board
• Markers
• Star Stickers

The trickiest part of this promposal is making the perfect star. We used this video from youtube –How to Draw a Perfect Star– And because we needed our star to be larger, once you have completed the steps in the video add two inches to each point. This will let you draw a bigger star. 

Once your star is drawn on your poster, simply fill it in with the star stickers and write your message around the star.

The final step is to add the name of the person doing the inviting in the stars. Write one letter from the name on each star.

That’s it, you are ready to deliver this fun promposal.

Well, somehow it happened. My oldest son is a high schooler and is on the dating scene. He has been to one school dance and now is getting ready for another. Naturally, when my kiddos need something creative they come to me for ideas, but not this time! In our house the student has become the master. My son came home with this fun running themed prom proposal in his mind and asked me to help him make it happen.

His date is on the cross country and track team, so naturally my son was thinking all about running. I think he nailed it with this running themed homecoming proposal.

Prom Proposal:

Isn’t this a fun surprise for someone to come home to? And it’s so simple to put together, I have everything you need to pull it together.

What You Will Need:

• Poster Board
• Card Stock Paper (Any Color)
• Printable Tag
• Shoe Box
• Anything a Runner Might Like (Socks, Sports Drinks, Candy, Water)
• Tape
• Ribbon (Optional)

Instructions:

• Let’s start with the poster board. This will be the first thing your date will see, and where the journey to the big question begins. Simply write the question on the poster board in any style and color you like. When you deliver this promposal, the poster board will be hung on the front door.

• You need to cut footprints out of the card stock paper. Cut as many footprints as you will need to take them from the front door through the house to the bedroom of person you are asking. Leaving a trail for them to follow.

• Lead the footprints to the outside of the bedroom door where you will leave the shoe box with all of the supplies in it. I filled the box with socks, candy, and drinks. Make sure to print the tag and include it in the box.

• It’s super important to include the name of the person who is doing the asking. Spell the name out with one letter on each footprint. Tape them on the bedroom door all jumbled up so they have to figure it out.

That’s it! You have a super fun running themed promposal ready to go.

In fact, I did this one for one of our favorite kiddos who was asking a girl to the Sweethearts dance. So no matter what dance you are heading to, this fun dance invitation will be a hit!

How cute are these cookies? They are so simple, I’ll show you what you need.

Here’s what you need:

• Fortune Cookies
• Melting Chocolate
• Sprinkles
• Tissue Paper
• Take out Box or any Cute Box
• Ribbon
• Printable Tag (I Have it at the End of this Post)

This promposal is so simple to put together, let’s get started.

Simply melt your chocolate, dip the cookies half way, add the sprinkles and let them dry on a piece of wax paper.

To add a little fun to this prom proposal idea, place a small piece of paper with the name of the person who is doing the asking inside one of the cookies. Then the person who is invited will need to break open the cookies to know who is asking them to the dance.

Once the cookies are ready with the name included, place them in the box. Then simply wrap the box up with a ribbon and attach the tag. You are all ready to do some inviting!

If you have a high schooler, you probably have experienced Prom and Homecoming proposals. They are the perfect way to start a fun journey to the big dance. I have joined this new world of promposals with my oldest child so naturally it has my creative juices flowing. Bring on the fun and creative promposals.

Cute Prom Proposals:

I’m in love with this cute and simple homecoming proposal, it is a burst of color and such a simple dance invitation to put together.

What you will need:

• White Poster Board
• Starbursts (About 100)
• Double Sided Tape
• Printable Burst Tag
• Two Small Slips of Paper That Will Fit in the Starburst Wrapper

Instructions:

• Print the tag and cut it in a circle. Place it in the center of the poster board, securing it with tape.

• Choose two Starbursts and carefully unwrap them. Write your question on one of the small slips of paper and place it on the inside of the wrapper. Write the name of the person who is doing the inviting on the other small piece of paper and place it in the other wrapper.

• Carefully rewrap the Starbursts, making sure the question and the name are in the wrappers.
• Now simply start to make your lines coming from the center circle. Each line of Starbursts will be different lengths. Secure them down with double sided tape.
• Last step…make a very fun delivery!!

It’s so weird that I find myselves with teenagers…when did that happen?

It still seems like I should be at the park pushing little ones on swings and kissing boo-boos but somehow my boys have grown up and are doing things like driving and dating, working and going out with friends.

And while it’s really weird to me, it’s also fun to see my kids becoming more fully the people they are, finding their place in the world and enjoying the journey through their teenage years. (Ahem-not always fun to have teenagers, but sometimes it’s great!)

Along these lines, having teenagers means going to dances like Homecoming and Prom and in my neck of the woods, it’s pretty common to use cute promposal ideas to ask someone to a dance. Somehow I have entered a whole new world (are you humming an Aladdin tune right now?). I have teenage boys who are in high school-what?! And yes, it’s a whole new world filled with fun possibilities.

The high school dances are probably one of the funnest events that happen in the school year. And the fun really starts with the invitation. That’s where I come in. I have everything you need to make your next homecoming or prom proposal perfectly delicious.

 Prom Proposal Ideas:

Here’s the scoop…everyone loves ice cream, right?! It’s a safe bet that whoever is being invited to the dance will love this sweet dance invitation. Let’s chat about what you need for this.

Shopping List:

• Ice Cream Scoop
• Ice Cream
• Printable Tags
• Scoops and a Cone Cut with Construction Paper
• Ribbon

Now that you have all of your supplies, let’s put this promposal together.

Step number one is making sure the person you are inviting isn’t home for a few minutes so you can get this set up.

Starting at the beginning, you will leave this “Here’s the Scoop” tag and ice cream scoop at the front door.

On the inside of the front door, tape down your ice cream cone with scoop. Place more scoops along the pathway from the front door to the freezer.

End your path at the freezer where you have left the ice cream.

Attach the “Will you go to the dance with me” tag to the ice cream and leave it in the freezer where it will be visible. Make sure to leave plenty of space around the tag so water doesn’t get on it and smear the words.

You also will need to add the name of the person who is doing the inviting so there are no question about who is asking!

Such a fun surprise for someone to come home to! And to make things even more simple I have the tags all ready for you to print.
