One of the most memorable parts of high school are the school dances. The classes come and go, so do most of the other high school memories…but the dances seem to stick in our memories. And a fun way to make them even more special is starting with the invitation.

Have you joined “promposal” club yet? Asking someone to the big dance with a fun and often punny invitation? If you haven’t, now is the time! Let’s talk about promposals and all of the fun you can be having.

Fortune Cookie Themed Promposals:

Fortune cookie themed promposals are so simple to put together, and are a fun way to start the Prom festivities. I say they are promposals, but this dance invitation works for any dance. In fact, I did this one for one of our favorite kiddos who was asking a girl to the Sweethearts dance. So no matter what dance you are heading to, this fun dance invitation will be a hit!

How cute are these cookies? They are so simple, I’ll show you what you need.

Here’s what you need:

Fortune Cookies
Melting Chocolate
Sprinkles
Tissue Paper
Take out Box or any Cute Box
Ribbon
Printable Tag (I Have it at the End of this Post)

This promposal is so simple to put together, let’s get started.

Simply melt your chocolate, dip the cookies half way, add the sprinkles and let them dry on a piece of wax paper.

To add a little fun to this prom proposal idea, place a small piece of paper with the name of the person who is doing the asking inside one of the cookies. Then the person who is invited will need to break open the cookies to know who is asking them to the dance.

Once the cookies are ready with the name included, place them in the box. Then simply wrap the box up with a ribbon and attach the tag. You are all ready to do some inviting!

I have the tag all ready for you to print. I included a general dance tag and a sweethearts tag! Just right click and save to your computer, then open in a program like Word or Pages and size how you want, then print.
