The big game is coming up and I get excited for it! I admit that a lot of the draw for watching the Super Bowl is the food. And the commercials. But I also like to throw a fun Super Bowl party.

I know that a lot of you are like me though and don’t care a ton about the actual game, but you’ll be attending a football party anyway and want to make it a little more fun. Super Bowl party games can add a nice touch to liven things up (along with the great food) and this one is perfect because it’s great for all ages, low key and easy!

This Super Bowl party game seriously is so simple but fun! I think your crowd will really enjoy playing it and you can pick out some fun prizes for the winner or the top three or whatever works for you!

How to Play:

Print enough of these football game sheets so that each person at your party can have one.

Before the game starts, have each person at the party fill out their predictions for how the game will go. Almost every question on this sheet just has two possible answers (trying to make it easy for the kids) so it should be simple to fill out and it’s really just guessing. Not a lot of skill involved.

Then, as you watch the game, mark answers as correct or incorrect.

At the end of the night, total up how many each player got correct and find your winners! You could have a fun football themed prize!

That’s it! So simple!

It feels like I’m surrounded by all things football. I both have some cute football lovin’ kiddos and they have plenty of football obsessed friends, which means I have a lot of football at my house. So when it comes to parties it’s not hard to guess what the theme will be!

This party was inspired by my sister, who was planning a party for her football loving son. Usually all these kids want is to play a game of football, but here in Utah the weather doesn’t always cooperate. So, I needed a solid game plan to entertain these crazy kiddos during the party and these fun football minute to win it party games were perfect!

Football Minute to Win It Party Games:

These football minute to win it party games are so simple to put together and so much fun to play, your party guests will love them. They are all minute to win it style games, meaning they are played as quickly as possible. They are so quick, you can get through a lot of games in a short amount of time. My nephew played all these games at his birthday party with plenty of time for a game of football and plenty of eating time.

So, let’s break this down game by game. Here’s what you’ll need for all of the games.

Shopping List: (I found most of these items at our dollar store)

• Sandwich Cookies (6 for each guest)
• Cotton Balls
• Vaseline
• Small Bowls (I found some cute football shaped bowls that were perfect)
• Toilet Paper
• Blindfolds (I used bandanas)
• Alphabet Cookies
• Small Footballs

Minute to Win It Games for Kids:

The Receiver “Nose”-

For this game you will use the cotton balls, vaseline, and small bowls. To play this game, put a pile of cotton balls in one bowl and place it at the end of a table and an empty bowl on the other side of the table. Each player will put Vaseline on their nose and move the cotton balls from one bowl to other bowl using only their nose. Time each player for 60 seconds and the person who moves the most cotton balls wins the game.

Pick 6-

Give each player 6 cookies. When you say “go” each player will attempt to stack the cookies on their forehead. The player who stacks 6 cookies the quickest, wins the game.

I promise, it’s harder than it sounds!

The Concussion:

This game will just need a roll of toilet paper. Split the kiddos up in teams of three. To play, two kids will hold the roll of toilet paper and one child will wrap it around himself by turning as quickly as possible. The first one done with the roll of toilet paper wins.

Just make sure the kiddos won’t run into anything while they are dizzy!

Minute to Win It:

The Game Plan:

To prepare for this game, split the cookies up evenly in baggies. Split the kids up in teams and give each of them a baggie of cookies. Set the timer for 1-3 minutes (depending on how quick you think the kids can come up with words). The teams need to spell as many words as possible in the time allotted. If they can spell football words they are worth double. The team that spells the most words (counting double for football words) wins.

You may want to make sure each bag of cookies has enough vowels so the kiddos can make some fun words.

Blind Quarterback:

Split the kids up in teams of 2, with one of them blindfolded. The player who is blindfolded (the quarterback) will throw the ball to his receiver. The catch is that the receiver can’t move, he will only be able to call out to the quarterback 3 times giving the quarterback an idea where he is. Time the players for one minute, the team that catches the ball the most times in that minute wins the game.

Field Goal:

Each child will have one cookie. When you say “go”, they will place the cookie on their forehead and try to move it without hands to their mouths. The first one who gets the cookie to their mouth wins.

If the cookie falls, the player is allowed to pick it up and place it back on their forehead. They can keep trying until someone wins.

Seriously, these games are a blast to play!

Oh yum! Let’s make this!

Buffalo Dip Recipe:

This buffalo chicken dip not only tastes amazing, but it’s super simple to make, so it won’t bog down your game day celebration!

Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

• 1 Cup Blue Cheese Dressing
• 1 Cup Buffalo Hot Wing Sauce
• 2- 8 Oz. Cream Cheese
• 1 Cup Pepper Jack Cheese
• 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese
• 2-3 Chicken Breasts Cooked and Shredded. You can also use canned chicken.
• Blue Cheese Crumbles for Top
• Green Onions for Top

Instructions:

Boil your chicken breast until cooked through, let cool slightly and shred. If you are using canned chicken, simply open and drain.

While your chicken is cooking, use a mixer to mix the cream cheese until it’s soft and fluffy.

Add in the chicken, blue cheese dressing, buffalo hot wing sauce, and cheese.

Mix all together until well blended.

Place in a greased 8×8 pan.

Top with blue cheese crumbles.

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes until the dip is completely heated through and is bubbly.

Top with diced green onions.

A Peek at the Fun: Are you looking for winning game day snacks?  I have a simple and delicious football party mix for you.  Your guest will all be winners with this amazing snack.

It’s almost time for the big game, and that means one thing…food! I love to have plenty of snacks on hand so I can cheer and snack my way through every play of the day.  Because I actually want to watch the game and socialize with our guests, I’m always on the lookout for simple game day snacks.  This snack mix will be the winning element to your party, so simple and so tasty.

Game Day Snacks:

I have the winning combination with this snack mix and have included all of your favorites to create the ultimate game day snack mix and make your football party a success!

Shopping List:

• Snyder’s of Hanover® Pretzels
• Emerald® Nuts
• Pop Secret® Popcorn
• Football Shaped Chocolate Candy
• Mini Sized Candy Bars
• Marshmallows
• Green Melting Chocolate
• White Melting Choclate
• Cute Bags to Put it in (I Used Black and White Striped)

Instructions:

Let’s start making this yummy snack mix.  Start by melting your green chocolate in the microwave or by using a double boiler.  Once it’s completely melted, dip your Snyder’s of Hanover® Pretzels in the melted chocolate using a fork to lift them out once they are completely covered.

Place the covered pretzels on a cookie sheet to dry.  Now melt your white melting chocolate in the microwave or double boiler until completely melted.  Once it’s melted, drizzle across your green pretzels using a spoon.

Let them dry, and remove from the pan using a metal spatula.

Once your pretzels are done and dry, you are ready to make your snack mix.  It’s as easy as putting all of your ingredients in a bowl and mixing it together.  The hardest part of this whole process will be trying not to eat the whole bowl before your guests show up!!

Football Party Favors:

If you are looking for a fun way to serve this yummy snack mix we have you covered.  I used the black and white striped bags, bakers twine and the printable tag (see below) to create a simple and fun football party favor.  These can be used during the game, or let your guests fill their bags on their way out for a yummy treat to be eaten later.

A Peek at the Fun: Are you thinking of throwing a fun football-themed party?  I have lots of awesome ideas for your next football party. From easy tailgating ideas to football decorations and football party food, I have you covered!

Something you maybe should know about me–although I have good friends, they are definitely not my best friends. They have accepted that they don’t rank number one and decided to embrace my “real” best friends with this football-themed party!  Coca-Cola® and football, is there any better combination?  I think not!!  Coke has been my best friend since day 1. I have so many fun ideas for your next tailgating party, you’ll wish football season lasted all year!

If you love a good football-themed party, too–whether it’s for the food or for the football or even just for the party–pull up a chair because I have some great tailgate party ideas for you today!

Football-Themed Party:

Every great football party starts with great food!!  Deciding what to serve is the most important decision because we all love to eat.  Serving fun food and drinks will keep your guests happily cheering on their favorite team.

Football Party Food:

Because time and money are always a consideration, I started our party planning at Sam’s Club–game time’s favorite teammate–because I know I can get everything I need in one place.  I stocked up on Coca-Cola®, Sprite®, and Diet Coke® which Sam’s Club sells by the two-liter bottles in a 4-pack on the beverage aisle.  I knew I would need plenty of drinks for our fun “Time Out Drink Station” I created for this party.

Have you ever had a soda pop mixed drink?  They are super yummy, and such a fun idea for a party.

Your guests are going to love this! Here’s how to create one with a football-themed party twist!

Football Party Drink Station:

Supplies Needed:

• Coca-Cola®
• Diet Coke®
• Sprite®
• Drink Flavorings (Coconut, Cherry, Peach, Blackberry)
• Limes Cut into Wedges
• Cherries
• Ice
• Cups
• Straws
• Drink Menu (See Below)
• Black and White Striped Paper
• Drink Labels (See Below)

Now that you have all of your supplies, let’s put this tailgate party drink station together.  With the several flavors of pop and several drink flavorings, you can let your guests mix and match to create their own drink, or they can order off the menu I have created for you.  A drink station is a fun way to serve your guests and it becomes a social gathering spot.

The “Touchdown” happens to be my very favorite drink in the whole world, so maybe start with that one and work your way through the menu! I created 5 different drinks made from Sprite®, Coke®, Diet Coke®, and various flavorings that your guests will love! And they’ve all got fun football-themed party names.

You’ll want to have your flavorings ready as well as limes and cherries that guests can toss in their drinks.

Grab these four packs of 2 liter Coca-Cola® beverages from Sam’s Club! They are the best when planning a party.  Rule number one of party planning is to never run out of Coke!

Football Party Food:

I also grabbed several Member’s Mark 16″ Take & Bake pizza’s from Sam’s Club because they are so quick, easy, and delicious.  Because you bake them yourself, you have more control over when dinner is served.

Pizza and Coca-Cola® are two of my favorite food groups!  Your football party will be a hit with this perfect combo.

Beyond your pizza and drinks, a good football-themed party is going to need some chips and dips.  I had some fun with the serving style on these–like this 7 layer dip served in a football tray!

Or salsa coming right out of a football! (More on this below.)

I also served popcorn, mixed nuts, pretzels, salsa, chips, candy, and these cupcakes.  The cupcakes are as easy as making cupcakes with green frosting and adding these fun cupcake toppers.

Football Decorations:

Oftentimes, the men come to a football party for the game and the food, but I don’t want to forget you ladies who are coming for the cuteness factor, too.  This black, white, and green decoration motif was perfect for this party.  Let’s start to break things down for you.

I started with a piece of green turf which we repurposed to use as a tablecloth, added a black-and-white table runner, and had a fun football-themed table.  From there, I added little elements to make our party look original and festive.

One of our favorite elements were these footballs we used as a salsa holder and utensil caddy.

Aren’t these so fun? Let’s make them.

Cutout Football Holder:

Supplies Needed:

• Football
• Knife or razor
• Sharpie

How to Make:

• Start with a football that has been inflated for at least a couple of days.  This will help the football retain its shape once it’s been cut.
• Trace a circle with a sharpie.  I used the bowl we wanted to insert in the hole as our guide.
• Cut with the knife along the traced line.  The football is tough to cut through so we would recommend using a new blade that will allow for easier cutting.  Please be so careful while cutting so you don’t slip.  Just go slow, and it will cut!

Once you have your football cut, you can use it for anything you want.

A football party usually involves eating while watching the game, so I made sure the place settings were simple and easily movable.  Black-and-white plates created a perfect canvas for our napkin and utensil bundles.  I tied them up with black-and-white bakers twine and these cute football and touchdown printables.  The printables are available here for you:

Football Party Bunting:

No party is complete without a fun banner or in this case fun bunting.  I love the little touch of color that bunting adds to any celebration.

I have made your life easy when it comes to bunting because I have the letters already done for you.  Get your letters here: Bunting Letters.

Then just get some fun paper in green, black, and black-and-white stripes. Make yourself a triangle template and cut out enough triangles for what you want to spell (I did “touchdown”).

Print and cut the letters and glue them on. Then string it up and hang it somewhere festive for your party!

I’ve got a couple of little boys who are obsessed with football. They wear football jerseys to school every day, play it at recess and snuggle their footballs at night. Neither of them can seem to get enough football.

So when one of their birthdays rolls around, I know exactly what kind of birthday party to throw! Football everything! These fun football party ideas could be used for a kids football birthday party or for a big game party or really just any football party you want to throw!

Whether you love football or not, you’ve got to admit that this football party looks fun to throw! And if you’ve got little ones that love it like mine, this football birthday party is perfect for them.

Football Birthday Party Ideas:

Football Party Invitations:

These football party invitations might be my favorite part of this party! They are made to look like football tickets but with all the party info printed right on them. How fun is that?

To use this football invitation, right click and save it to your computer. Then, open in a photo editing program (like PicMonkey) and add your own text. Need help with how to do that? I’ve got a tutorial here.

Football Party Decorations:

There are lots of easy and fun ways to decorate for a football themed birthday party. I used black foam board for a backdrop and added little green pennant flags. Then we added some fun touches.

My favorite are these letters spelling out Game Day!

And they’re easy to make!

Supplies Needed:

• Scrapbook Paper (Hobby Lobby had that cool paper that looks like a football and even feels like one!)
• Metal Letters (at the craft store)
• Glue or tape

All you need to do is trace the letter on the back of your scrapbook paper. Make sure that your letter is face down on the scrapbook paper’s back. Trace around it, cut it out and glue or tape it to your metal letters:

Football Party Food:

You’ve got to have some fun treats at a football party right?

I made a fun Game Day popcorn to celebrate the big game. Super easy and tastes amazing! Bet you can’t stop eating it.

It’s SO yummy! I made it with green and brown M&Ms to look like football colors, but you could also make it with your team’s colors! Here’s the recipe:

Game Day Popcorn Recipe:

Ingredients:

• 2 bags of cooked microwave popcorn
• 2 sticks of butter (1 Cup)
• 1/2 C light Karo syrup
• 1 1/3 C sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 small (7 oz.) container of marshmallow fluff
• 2-3 C mini marshmallows
• Colored M&Ms

Instructions:

Cook your popcorn. Try to remove as many unpopped kernels as possible. Set this aside in a large bowl.

On the stove in a small pan, mix your Karo syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla over medium-high heat until it boils. Boil for 1 and a half minutes.

Stir in the marshmallow fluff until totally melted.

Pour this over your popcorn and mix and mix until it’s all coated. Let it cool for 3-5 minutes, then add the marshmallows and mix them in. Top with M&Ms.

Let it sit for a couple of hours before eating for best results!

Football Party Cupcakes:

Cupcakes are a must for most fun parties for me. What makes these special are the simple little chocolate footballs on top for our football birthday party so that they birthday kid had something fun to put candles on.

Want to make some of these football cupcakes? Here’s how:

Supplies Needed:

• Melting chocolate-brown and white
• Sandwich baggie
• Silpat mat or wax paper (affiliate link)

Heat up your melting chocolate (the brown first). Once it’s totally melted, pour it into your sandwich baggie and snip off just the very tip of the bag (just a tiny bit).

On your Silpat mat or wax paper, pipe the shape of a football and fill it in. As it begins to set up you can smooth it out a little with the tip of your baggie.

Once it is hardened, peel it off your Silpat mat and flip it over. Then heat your white chocolate, put it in a baggie and pipe the stripes. Ours were VERY not perfect but still looked cute.

Then just make cupcakes and pipe frosting on and add your little footballs!

Football Party Drinks:

Another fun idea for your football themed party is to make your drinks cute! I simply used our scrapbook paper to create drink wrappers. Then we wrapped a whistle around the top of the bottle. I also have drink wrappers that you can print and use here.

So simple but such a nice football party touch!

Football Party Favors:

Want to have some fun football themed party favors for the guests? I’ve got several fun football party favor ideas-use one or use them all!

I got these cute football bags from Oriental Trading and filled them with some fun things, then tied them with a whistle!

Inside I put candy, mini footballs and little notebooks and chalk. I used Silhouette chalkboard vinyl on tiny little notebooks to make them playbooks.

I also made these cute football party poppers!

Love these! Aren’t they cute?

Supplies Needed:

• Paper Towel roll or toilet paper roll (if using paper towel, cut it in half)
• Brown tissue paper
• Football scrapbook paper
• White paper (sticker paper is ideal) or vinyl for the stripes
• String
• Tape
• Candy

To make these, cut a piece of tissue paper so that is about 2 inches wider than the toilet paper roll and big enough to wrap around the toilet paper roll about twice.

Roll it around and tie one end with string. Fill it with candy and then tie off the other end.

Cut your scrapbook paper to exactly the width of your toilet paper roll and just enough to wrap around it just more than once. Roll it around and tape it.

Cut your white sticker paper to make the stripes and put them in place and you’re set!

You can also get these cute football favor boxes from Oriental Trading. Fill them with favors or fill them with food, either way, they’re fun!

I also found these fun football suckers at Zurchers and used them as favors (plus they looked cute on the table).

• Black Bucket (ours is a chalkboard bucket from Hobby Lobby so that I could write on it)

I placed green felt in the bottom of our tray to look like a football field. You can even add field markings if you want it to be really cute!

I used a cute chalk board bucket for our ice bucket.  I added a little fun by drawing some football plays on the bucket, I loved the way it turned out.

Add some green, black, and white straws for color and function.  I all love sipping our drinks through straws!

Seriously, this is super simple and quick leaving you plenty of time to cheer on your favorite team!
