Toss the Bouquet Minute to Win it Game:

Every bride needs to know how to toss the bouquet, so let’s make sure we help her practice.

Supplies Needed:

• Basket
• Bouquet of Silk Flowers

To play this game you will have a line for the player to stand to toss the bouquet. Place the basket behind the player at a distance you think will be challenging but possible to toss the flowers into. When the player is ready, give her the flowers and start the clock. She will have 60 seconds to toss the bouquet as many times as possible, gaining one point for every time she tosses the bouquet in the basket.

It would be helpful to have someone getting the bouquet and handing it back to the player.

Groom Grooming Bridal Shower Game:

I definitely want the groom looking his best for the wedding, so let’s practice our shaving skills. This game will make sure we are skilled barbers.

Supplies Needed:

• Balloons
• Razor
• Shaving Cream

To play this game, each player will need to shave a balloon without popping it and within the one minute time limit.

When the clock starts, the player will need to spread shaving cream all over the balloon and proceed to shave the balloon. The player that accomplishes this within one minute gains a point to add to their tally. Make sure to fully blow the balloons up so they are tight. This will make shaving them easier.

It Has a Ring to It Minute to Win it Game:

You can’t have a wedding without the perfect ring. Let’s give the ring some attention with this fun minute to win it game.

Supplies Needed:

• Ring Pop for Each Player

To play this game, each player will be given a ring pop that they will need to try to eat within one minute. This game can be played all at once. You can either score this by giving points to the first player finished or give points to any player that finishes in one minute. Your choice.

Take the Cake Bridal Shower Game:

When the cake is cut we see the bride and groom’s real nature come out, whether they will kindly offer a bite to one another or smash it in each other’s faces? So let’s give it a whirl. And if we get to eat cake to practice, even better.

Supplies Needed:

• Blindfold
• Cupcakes for Each Player

To play this game you will have each player paired off. Both players will be blindfolded and they will need to each feed their partner a cupcake within the one minute timeframe.

Say Yes to the Dress Bridal Shower Games:

Finding the perfect gown is usually number one on any bride’s list. Let’s see if we can make the perfect wedding dress for her.

Supplies Needed:

• 2 Rolls of Toilet Paper Per Person

Each player will have one minute to wrap someone up in 2 rolls of toilet paper, creating the perfect wedding dress. This game will be done in pairs, so each team will have 2 rolls of toilet paper they must get through within one minute.

Recently my littlest brother got married and we played this fun wedding shoe game during the luncheon after the wedding. I’d tried it a few years earlier at another brother’s wedding and it’s a huge hit with everyone and it’s SO easy to play! My favorite part of it is that the guests get to know a little bit about the couple as this game is played. And the whole game only takes about 5 minutes to play so it’s just a sweet and simple bit of fun in the middle of your festivities.

This game is super easy to play and I’ve made it even easier for you by making a printable so you can just print the questions and you’re all set!

Wedding Shoe Game Printable:

Here’s a quick rundown of how to play this game. After printing the printable out, select which questions are your favorite and be prepared to ask them.

Have the bride and groom sit back to back. Each takes their shoe off and gives one to another so they are holding one shoe of their own and one shoe of their spouse’s.

Read a question and they each hold up the shoe of who they think it fits best. So for example, “who is more likely to get a traffic ticket?” and they each raise the shoe for who they think that would be. Because they are back to back, they can’t see what each other is choosing. It sounds simple, but it gets funny, and sometimes even sweet.

It’s that simple! Read however many questions you want and then move on with the rest of the celebrating. Simple and fun!

If you’ve got a wedding on the horizon and you’re planning the bridal shower, there’s lots to worry about, right? Invitations and presents, decorations and food, so I’ve got your covered on the bridal shower games!

I like to try to keep things as simple as possible and pass that ease on to you, so all you’ve really go to do for this bridal shower Pictionary game is print and then play. It doesn’t get much easier than that, does it?! And it will be fun for the guests to play, so it’s a win-win!

These words will be fun (and hopefully a little bit tricky) to draw! Hopefully, your guests will be laughing and having a great time as you play. If you want to make it really crazy you could have them draw blindfolded or with their non-dominant plan. Whatever you do though, it should be simple for you and fun for them.

Bridal Shower Pictionary Game:

This is pretty straightforward.

First, you’ll want to print out the playing sheet.

Once you’ve printed it, cut the words into strips and place them in a big bowl.

At the shower, divide your guests into two teams and have them take turns selecting one team member to draw for the other players on that team. Set the timer for about 45 seconds or a minute (you decide how long you want to give them) and then let them draw and guess as many words as they can in that time. Then the other team gets a turn. Go back and forth until all of the words are drawn, keeping count of how many words each team gets right. The team with the most right at the end wins! You can have a prize or you can just let the pride of winning be the prize.

When my niece started dating a boy last year, I was planning the bridal shower in my mind. For a solid year, I dreamed up that wedding shower. It’s her favorite thing to do and when that shower became reality it was perfect.

This was such a fun project because I did this fun bridal shower party for my niece.  It’s so fun when I get to throw fun events for the people I love!  And this “Spring into Love” bridal shower is seriously so adorable I have definitely fallen in love!

It’s tons of fun to come up with bridal shower themes and this one was so sweet!

Bridal Shower Party Ideas:

Let’s start to break this shower down so you can see what I did and how it all came together!

I started at Oriental Trading and ordered so many cute, fun things to help this bridal shower come together.  I knew I wanted it to feel like spring so I went for fun, bright patterns.

Let’s talk about the invitations, this is where the party gets started!

Printable Bridal Shower Invitations:

Every party starts with a fun invitation-and I’ve got one for you!

If you’d like to use this invitation, you’ll want to right click and save it on to your computer. Then open it in a program like PicMonkey and add your text. If you don’t know how to do that, here’s a tutorial for you. It’s easy!

Balloon Arrangement:

A balloon arrangement is an easy way to give you a lot of color and pattern at your bridal shower.  These polka dotted lanterns were perfection, and they were so easy to work with.  I knew I wanted to use them in a different and creative way, so I added them to this balloon arrangement and used them as bridal shower centerpieces for our table.  It was so easy to put together but added major color and fun to the table!

Wedding Shower Decorations:

Supplies Needed:

• Balloons (different sizes within your color scheme, including pattern balloons too)
• Ribbon or String
• Scissors
• Oriental Trading Lanterns

How to Make the Balloon Arrangement:

• Blow up your balloons.  Put together your lanterns by unfolding them and inserting the metal frame inside.
• Cut a long piece of the ribbon/string.  You want to cut it longer than the balloon arrangement’s final size.
• Cut 3-4 inch strips of the ribbon-you will need one for each balloon and lantern you are putting in the arrangement.
• Using one of the small pieces of ribbon, place your long ribbon piece in the center of the small strip and then begin to tie a knot around it.  Place the end of the balloon in the knot, and tighten the small ribbon around the balloon.  You should have the longer ribbon tied in with your balloon, allowing the ballon to slide along the longer piece of ribbon.  (see steps below)
• Repeat this step with each balloon or lantern.  You should be able to slide the balloons and lantern together making your arrangement as full as you desire.

Here I’m stringing the lanterns and adding them to the balloons:

So fun!

Nothing says spring like tulips, so of course I needed to add them to my decor.  When in doubt about how to decorate a space, you really can’t go wrong with flowers.  Did you notice the pink and white chevron table runner?  Thank you Oriental Trading!

Bridal Shower Party Favors:

It’s always a good idea to send your guests home with a little something from your bridal shower party.  These popcorn boxes make the perfect bridal shower party favors.  So simple and yummy!

Recipe for the Popcorn:

• 8 Cups of Popped Pop Corn
• 12 Ounces White Chocolate Chips
• 2 Cups of Mini Marshmallows
• 1/2 Cup Coconut Flakes
• 1-2 tsp. Coconut Extract
• 1 Cup M&M’s
• Pink Melting Chocolate (If Desired)

How to Make:

• Measure out 8 cups of popcorn into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
• Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave stirring every 30 seconds until melted completely.
• Pour the white chocolate over the measured popcorn and stir until the popcorn is evenly coated.
• Add the coconut extract and stir.
• Mix in the remaining ingredients-marshmallows, coconut flakes and M&M’s and mix it all together.
• Lay the mixture out on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper and let cool.
• If you desire, melt some pink melting chocolate in a bowl and spoon it over the popcorn mixture in a drizzle.
• Let cool and then break apart and enjoy!!

Have you served mini desserts before?  If not, I would highly recommend it and this is the perfect occasion.  Not only are they adorable and simple to make, but it allows your guests several options to choose from.  At our bridal shower I served strawberry shortcake, cheesecakes topped with cherries, chocolate mousse, and a pistachio pudding mousse.  These mini desserts were served in these square bottom cups from Oriental Trading and they worked perfectly.

Macarons:

I have been dying to serve macarons at an event and this Spring Into Love Bridal Shower Party seemed like the perfect opportunity.  I have recently discovered the magic of macaron cookies and I’m a true believer, they are amazing.  And because they are so bright and colorful, they make a functional centerpiece.  Oriental Trading had this macaron stand, and it was simple to put together and was perfect for our dessert table.  I don’t think we’ll ever admit to how many of these little beauties I ate!

It’s the time of year when everyone’s in love-weddings and bridal showers are everywhere. My niece is getting married in a couple of weeks so I’ve got love and weddings on the mind.

When I threw my niece a bridal shower they played a couple of simple and fun bridal shower games, so I wanted to share these with you today. They won’t make your guests squirm. And they are simple for your to put together! I’ve got a Piece of Cake Memory Game and a Candy Bar Matching Bridal Shower Game for you today!

OK, so let’s talk about these two fun bridal shower games and how you can play them at your bridal shower!

Fun Bridal Shower Games:

Piece of Cake Bridal Shower Game:

To play this game you’re going to need to make our Bridal Shower Towel Cake. It makes a great gift AND a game-two birds, one stone. You know how it goes!

To play this you’ll create a cake filled with towels, utensils, kitchen gadgets and other household items. Really, whatever you think the bride would love.

Here’s a peek at mine:

Let the guests take a look at the cake, then remove it from the room.

Pass out these playing cards and have the guests try to remember what was on the cake and write it down.

Bring the cake back in and see who could remember the most things. The person with the most wins! Easy right?

Candy Bar Bridal Shower Matching Game:

This one seems a little silly, but guests usually get a kick out of it! To play it you’ll need to print out these memory cards. Print the backs on one side of the paper and the words on the other.

Free Printable Bridal Shower Matching Game

You will need to print these so that the picture side is on one side of the paper and the words on the other. So print evens first and then turn the paper over and print odds.

Then lay them out to play as a matching game. Guests look for two matching words.

When they get a match, there will be a correlating candy bar.

For example, if they match Engaged Couple, the prize is SweetTarts.

What do you do when one of your favorite nieces announces she is getting married?  If you are me, you start to plan a bridal shower!! And if you’re throwing a super fun bridal shower, you’ve got to have a fabulous bridal shower gift to go with it right?

I love this towel cake because it’s creative and cute and something she will actually use-everyone needs towels and utensils and you can even pick things straight from her registry. Plus, this DIY bridal shower gift looks great as part of your bridal shower decorations (makes a great centerpiece), AND I’ve got a game that you can play with it during the shower as well!

Isn’t it so cute?! You can do it in any color and you can customize it so that it’s the perfect wedding gift for the bride.

DIY Bridal Shower Gift Idea:

Supplies Needed For the Basic Towel Cake:

• 4 Bath Towels
• 4 Hand Towels
• 2-3 Wash Clothes
• Ribbon

Supplies Needed For the Towel Cake Embellishments:

• Apron
• Any Kitchen Utensils
• Spoons
• Spatulas
• Ice Cream Scoops
• Ladles
• Can Opener
• You Can Get Super Creative With This Part!!

How to Make a Towel Cake:

The bottom layer will be the largest and you will use the bath towels for that layer. The middle layer will be the hand towels. The top layer will be the wash clothes. Start by folding the towels in thirds and laying them out flat. Start rolling one towel at a time, linking the towels together at the ends. Make sure to start rolling the next towel into the roll as you come to the end (see picture below).

Once your 4 towels are rolled together you will hold them in place by tying a ribbon around the middle of the bundle.  Tie a knot at the back of the towel roll.  Repeat this step for the top and middle layers.

For the top layer, gather a few of the utensils and bundle them together.  Once they are arranged the way you like, start wrapping your washcloths (also folded in thirds) around the bottom of the utensils.  Wrap 2-3 washcloths around until you get the desired width for the top layer. Finish it off by tying a ribbon around it.

Doesn’t this make a fantastic towel cake topper?

Stack the layers on top of each other and start adding your embellishments to the cake. Simply push the items in between the towels until they are sturdy.

How sweet is this Lemon Themed Bridal Shower?  I’m in love with this party! I was thinking about what kind of wedding shower I would throw for my niece (no, she’s not even engaged yet…but that doesn’t stop a good party idea) and I fell in love with this idea!

Lemons are so bright and cheery I knew they would be fun to work with, not to mention how many yummy recipes incorporate lemon in them!  So my mind went crazy with how to use lemons in decorating, the menu, and the gift bags. This is a perfect Spring or Summer Bridal Shower!

Summer Bridal Shower Theme:

Don’t you love how the place settings turned out for this party?  I started with white dishes and did a simple silverware roll to add a splash of yellow.  I found these cupcake holders at Hobby Lobby and knew they would be a perfect accent for each place setting, holding a delicious strawberry lemonade cupcake!  Then I added lemons to vases and cut lemons up for the floral centerpieces.  Each place setting also has a little jar of homemade sugar scrub…adorable!

This fun “Love” sign was made from a serving tray we found at Hobby Lobby.  We simply painted the center with chalkboard paint and made it our centerpiece!

Lemon Themed Bridal Shower Menu:

The menu for this party was super simple but delicious. I served sandwiches (chicken breast, mozzarella cheese, pesto, and tomato on ciabatta bread), green salad with Lemon-Parmesan dressing, pita chips, cupcakes (strawberry lemonade, raspberry lemonade, and lemon), lemon cookies, and lemonade to drink.

The salad is a green salad with romaine lettuce, arugula, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumbers, croutons, and shaved pieces of parmesan cheese.

Topped with a nice Lemon Parmesan Dressing. Here’s the recipe for that on a printable recipe card if you’d like to use it for your party.

The lemonade was so easy, I just used a basic lemonade mix and added strawberries, raspberries and lemons.  We served it in this cute old fashioned jar and used jars for the cups as well.  It was a fun throwback to a simpler time…sippin’ lemonade and relaxing on a warm summer day…perfection!

I completed my cute jars with a strawberry on the rim and a fun pink and white straw.  You can also try a lemon on the side of the jar.

This cupcake tier was a hit!  Not only is it amazing looking, but the cupcakes are super yummy.  I topped the cupcakes with the fruit to match their flavor, and of course, I couldn’t resist adding a cute straw!

These lemon cookies will quickly become one of your favorites.  They couldn’t be simpler, and they are amazing!  Once you know the recipe, you can make any flavor you like, but for me, the lemon was perfect.

Bridal Shower Party Favors:

I wanted to send our guests home with something special to remember the wonderful time they had at the shower.  These gift baskets turned out to be so fun.  I included a jar of homemade sugar scrub, lemon lotion, a bag of lemon drops, and one of the lemon cookies packaged in a cellophane bag.  I completed the gift by putting it in a white box and attaching a tag with a cute pink and white polka dotted ribbon.  Who doesn’t want to leave a party with a present?  So fun!

These jars of sugar scrub were one of our favorite parts of this party.  Sugar scrub is very easy and quick to make and is such a pleasure to use!

Everyone knows that bridal showers can be a lot of fun or they can be weird and awkward and truthfully, that mostly comes down to the bridal shower games that the host has picked to play. Some are detailed and involved and make guests feel awkward.  Some are easy and casual and help the party flow well, right? Today I’m giving you three, easy, free printable bridal shower games that you can use for your shower that should leave your guests enjoying the event!

This printable bridal shower bingo game can be played a couple of ways. Either have the guests write down words they think will be said during the shower or things they think the bride will open for gifts during the shower. Then play the bingo game with their card once it is made:

To play this bridal shower taboo game, divide the attendees into 2 teams. Looking at the taboo cards, the person who is “it” will try to get the players on her team to say the word on the top of the card. BUT-she can’t say any of the other words written on the card or she’s out. Try to move through the cards as fast as you can. The team that gets the most words wins! (Set a timer and take turns.)

Printable Bridal Shower Questions Game:

To play this bridal shower questions game you will need to ask the groom his answers to the questions ahead of time.

Then, during the wedding shower, you will ask the bride to try to answer the questions as well and try to match the groom’s answers.

If you want to add a fun twist you can make her eat a piece of gum or candy each time she gets one wrong. Either way, this is a fun way for guests to get to know the couple and their love story.
