A Peek at the Fun: A movie night gift basket makes a perfect gift for a friend on their birthday, a teacher to say thanks or for any other occasion! This little movie night themed gift is fun to give and fun to receive!
A dark, cool theater, the buttery smell of popcorn, passing around the candy and watching a great show on the big screen. Sound like fun to you? We thought so too, so when we had two of our friends, who happen to be sisters, have birthdays within about a week of each other, we thought it would be fun to throw together a movie night gift basket of sorts.
We filled a cute plastic popcorn container with fun movie things like a theater gift card, candy, and pop. This way they could go to the movies together and have a fun girl’s night out, but this movie night gift idea is fun for anyone!
Really you could give this movie night gift basket to men, women, kids, anyone! And it could be a birthday gift, a thank you gift, a graduation gift, a teacher appreciation gift, whatever occasion you are needing a gift for. The nice thing with gifts like this movie night gift idea is that you can fill it up with whatever you think YOUR recipient will like best!
And it’s super easy to put together! And looks so cute when it’s all ready. Here’s the rundown on how we made it!
Movie Night Gift Basket:
You can put anything you want into this movie night gift basket-make it as big or small as you want, but here are some of the things we added or things we think you could add:
- Movie Theater Gift Card
- Candy (especially traditional movie candy like Milk Duds)
- Pop
- Popcorn
- Dessert gift card
Got other ideas for things to add to this movie night gift? We’d love to hear them!
We found our Popcorn container at the local craft store (Hobby Lobby) near the checkout stands. We’ve also seen them at party stores or you can grab one here. (affiliate link)
Grab a Popcorn container and stuff the bottom with tissue paper. Then add your items:
So simple but wouldn’t you love to get this gift? Super fun!
Have FUN giving this movie night gift basket!

We just have tags on our blog, nothing for purchase. We could alter the tickled pink teacher one for mom if that helps?

The website that I got your website from advertised that you have the key ring, that is a cloth lip balm holder (or chap stick).
Do you have this? I love your site, I just thought I could try the chap stick one first, I wanted to make a few Christmas gifts ahead. I promise to come back though! I signed up to your site! Blessings, Lisa
