Isn’t there something so fun about Halloween? I can’t decide which part is my favorite. Is it the fall colors? All of the candy? Or maybe it’s the fun costumes? What I am sure about is that I love a fun Halloween party.

If you are hosting a Halloween party this year, this spooky Rice Krispies treat is the perfect addition to your party. It’s easy to make, yummy to eat, and I promise that it will be a guest favorite!

Rice Krispies Halloween Party Treat:

If you have never made Rice Krispies treats before, let me ease your mind. They are SO easy. You really can’t mess them up. I will share the recipe and all of my tips and tricks below:

Recipe:

• 10.5 oz mini marshmallows
• 3 Tablespoon butter
• 1/5 teaspoon vanilla
• 3/4 Cup red velvet cake mix
• 6 Cup crispy rice cereal
• 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring

1. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
2. Add marshmallows. Make sure to stir continuously until they are melted.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Add the vanilla, cake mix, and food coloring. Mix well. You can add more food coloring if the color doesn’t look right.
5. Mix in the crispy rice cereal. I have found it easiest to add little bits at a time. You should be left with ooey gooey deliciousness.

Once you are done, spoon the Rice Krispies onto a foam meat tray and cover it with cling wrap.

How fun and spooky is that?! All that you have left to do is print our tag. I have it all ready for you!

Simply right click and save to your computer then open in a program like Pages or Word and size how you want, or here’s a page that has some on it ready to print:

There’s something about Halloween that just makes us want to throw parties.

Maybe’s it’s because there are so many fun ideas out there for cute Halloween food ideas and festive party decorations. Or maybe it’s because the kids love to get dressed up for a Halloween party. Maybe it’s just because I want to eat more candy.

Whatever it is, I love to throw a Halloween party.

If you’re like us and are planning a bash of your own this year, I think this added touch will go a long way to make your party extra special with these fun Halloween drinks for kids.

This ice ring punch is perfect for a Halloween party with its creepy eyeballs, gummy worms, and spiders.

And I added dry ice because that’s just the thing to do at Halloween, isn’t it?! It just makes the whole thing feel more spooky and fun!

This is the perfect Halloween punch for your party! It’s so easy and so much fun!

Halloween Punch: Drinks for Kids

Supplies Needed: 

• Orange Fruit Juice (any brand)
• Clear Soda (like Sprite or 7 Up)
• Gummy Worms
• Plastic Spiders
• Plastic Eyeballs
• Any other creepies you want to add to your drink (just hit the Halloween section and see what you can find
• Dry Ice
• Punch Bowl
• Large bowl/Tupperware for freezing

Halloween Punch Instructions:

To make these fun Halloween drinks for kids it’s easy, but you will need to plan ahead a little bit.

Here’s a quick video of the process to see how it works:

Start by placing a smaller bowl (face up-the opposite of what we show in our video and pictures-whoops) in the center of your larger bowl or Tupperware to create a ring shape.

Pour the orange fruit juice into the bowl. Then add your spiders, gummy worms, eyeballs or whatever else you want to add.

Freeze the concoction until solid (this is why you need to plan ahead a little bit).

After freezing, fill your sink with hot water and dip the bowl down into it to loosen the frozen ring. As soon as it’s loose enough, remove it. Also, remove the bowl from the center (you can fill it with hot water too if needed to loosen it.

Place the frozen ice ring down into your punch bowl.

Pour your drink in the punch bowl until your ice ring floats.

Add dry ice to the center and serve immediately if possible.

I love all things Halloween. So naturally, throwing a Halloween party is such a thrill for me. I love the foods, games, treats, and decorations…it’s all such fun.

I usually have at least one Halloween class party that I help with. So I have gathered together lots of cute and simple Halloween party ideas I want to share with you!

Kid’s Halloween Party:

I’m a big believer in keeping things super simple. Throwing a party does NOT need to be time consuming or stressful. Parties are meant to be fun, so let’s have fun planning the perfect Halloween party!

I have gathered everything you need for an amazing Halloween party for your kiddos, whether it’s a class party or one you are throwing yourself. Us moms have to stick together, and I’m here for you.

Halloween Party Themes:

Where to start when planning the perfect party? The theme! Decide what you want the theme of the party to be. That will give you the perfect launching off point. I have some fun suggestions for you to get your wheels turning.

Death by Chocolate:

This is a fun theme because it’s so versatile. Really all you need is to think about all things chocolate! I did this party in a black and white color scheme, but any color scheme would work. The kiddos would love a chocolate fountain with all of the items to be dipped. It would make a really fun treat for the party. Really, just go crazy with chocolate!

Witches Night Out:

This is a fun theme for a Halloween party and is perfect for an all girl party. Have all of the girls dress up in their best witches costume and get ready for a fun night out. For this party think all things cauldrons, brooms, and witches hats. Use these items for decorations, to serve the food, and even for the games. Such a fun theme.

Mad Scientist:

This mad scientist party is so bright and fun, and is a perfect for Halloween. I have included all of the printables in this party so your job is super simple. I have everything you need to throw a fantastic party.

Candy Corn Party:

I love this idea, using candy corn to inspire everything for your party! The colors are so bright and fun, you really can’t go wrong with this theme.

Halloween bingo is probably one of the best go-to party game. It’s as simple as printing out your cards (which I have all ready for you), and providing candy to cover the squares. Blackout happens when someone gets their whole board covered.

One of the best parts of parenting is doing little things to create memories or make the kids smile, especially on holidays and special days.

I love to set little traditions like having a fun Halloween breakfast that the kids can start their day off with on the morning of Halloween. This Mummy sandwich is super quick and easy to make-something you can pull together in a few minutes on the morning of Halloween to make the kids smile.

Who could resist that cute little guy? And don’t worry moms, he’s easy enough to make that you’re going to look like a super mom and the kids never need to know it was simple!

This fun Halloween breakfast idea will probably only take you about 20 minutes to make (and that includes cooking time). They could also be made ahead the night before and just reheated that morning if that’s easier.

Halloween Breakfast: Mummy Sandwich:

Fun Halloween Breakfast Idea: Mummy Sandwich

Print Recipe

Ingredients

• Crescent Roll Dough (prepackaged)
• Edible Eyes
• Scrambled Eggs
• Cheese (your choice on type)
• Ham or Bacon

Instructions

Unroll your dough and place two pieces on a greased cookie sheet (so that they form a rectangle).

Using a pizza cutter, cut the edges on either side into strips-but don’t cut all the way through. Leave the center uncut.

Top with your cheese, scrambled eggs and meat.

Fold the strips in on each other.

Bake according to the instructions on your crescent roll dough.

Add the little eyes at the end. Use a tiny bit of syrup or Karo syrup to help them stick.

See? That was easy right? Now serve it up and watch the kids smile!

My pants are too tight as I write this post-I think I’ve gained five pounds putting this post together! I’m a sucker for Muddy Buddies and when I’ve got to test out 3 different flavors of Halloween muddy buddies (because I want to make sure I’m giving you the best of the best-I’m a giver like that), things get a little crazy and pants get a little tight.

But these Halloween Muddy Buddies are good and when you put one of these cute tags on them and make it into fun Halloween gift ideas to take to friends, good things happen.

There are three amazing flavors-each with a fun Halloween theme and each with a coordinating gift tag so that you can package it up cute.

  • 1 1/2 C White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 tsp Peppermint Extract
  • 1 1/2 C Powdered Sugar
  • Green Sixlets

  Instructions

  Pour your Chex in a large bowl.

  In a smaller bowl add your white chocolate and melt in microwave stopping to stir frequently.

  Pour over cereal and mix till evenly coated.

  Pour Peppermint Extract over the mixture.

  Add powdered sugar and mix till covered again.

  Chop Andes Mints into small pieces and add to mix. Add Sixlets and eyeballs and enjoy!

• 9 C Rice Chex
• 1 C Chocolate Chips
• 1/2 C Caramel Sauce
• 2 1/2–3 C Powdered Sugar
• Candy Corn and Candy Pumpkins
• Fall Colored Sixlets

Instructions

Pour Rice Chex in a large bowl.

In a smaller bowl add your chocolate chips and melt in microwave (stirring occasionally to prevent burning).

Pour over your Rice Chex and stir until totally coated. Add your caramel sauce and stir again until it is also coating the cereal. Add powdered sugar and stir (or put a lid on the bowl and shake) until all the cereal is evenly covered.

Add candy corn, pumpkins, and Sixlets.

Mmmmm! This stuff comes out so chewy and nice and is especially good after it has some time to sit.

Ingredients

• 2 C white chocolate chips
• 9 C Rice Chex
• 1 teaspoon coconut extract (optional-add more to taste)
• 1 1/2 powdered sugar
• Mini Marshmallows
• Shredded Coconut
• Sixlets (optional) (Get these at a party store)

Instructions

Melt your white chocolate. This part is tricky because white chocolate can be finicky. Make sure to stir often whether you are doing it in the microwave or on the stove. Heat and mix till melted.

Put your Chex in a big bowl and then pour your white chocolate mixture over it and stir till it’s covering the Chex evenly.

Add in your coconut extract, pouring it over the mixture.

Sprinkle on your powdered sugar and mix till it covers the Chex.

Sprinkle on mini marshmallows and shredded coconut to taste.

Add Sixlets for a pop of color.

Halloween is such a fun time to throw a party, the costumes, the decorations, the creepiness…it’s absolute perfection.  But when I’m talking about throwing a Halloween party, the food is best part of all.  It’s the only time of year that the more disgusting and creepy the food, the more impressed your guests will be.  So many fun and easy party food options, sometimes it’s hard to know what to serve.  Don’t you worry one bit about it, I have your back!

Whether you are serving your guests a full meal or plan to serve something more simple, I have plenty of fun Halloween party foods to get your wheels turning.

When you sit down with your favorite notebook and pen to start your party planning, food is often the first thing your mind will land on.  I say go with it, make the food your first step in planning the best Halloween party.

Getting Started:

Let’s start by deciding if you want appetizers, a full meal, or desserts.  Ask yourself some questions when determining the answer-

• What time is your party?  If your party is being held at a meal time you may want to serve a meal or change the time of your party.  You don’t want to make things awkward for your guest who are showing up at your house at 5pm for a party that will put them right through the dinner hour.
• What is your budget?  Appetizers and/or desserts will be much more cost effective than serving a meal.  How much do you want to spend on this party?
• How many people will be attending?  You may be less inclined to feed a meal to a party of 50, but a party of 10 is definitely more doable.
• How much time do you have to dedicate to this party?  This question is essential when planning a party.  If you have limited time, I would not suggest you tackle a 7 course meal for your guests.  All that will do (besides filling your guest’s tummies) is cause frustration in your life.  Parties are supposed to be fun, even for the host and hostess.

Based on your answers to these questions, you should be narrowing down what direction you want to go with your party foods.  I have gathered together several ideas starting with appetizers, moving on to main course ideas, and of course ending with desserts.  So sit back, and let your imaginations take hold as you look for food options for your Halloween party.

What happens when I go shopping for a new dessert?  Chocolate and peanut butter, of course.  I’m pretty sure this flavor combination is as good as it gets, and this dessert tops them all.  Creamy layers of peanut butter and chocolate topped with Butterfinger…YUMMY! And beyond the yum factor, can I talk about how adorable these babies are?  Seriously perfect for any Halloween party you have coming up.

 Easy Peanut Butter and Chocolate Halloween Dip:

This RIP Halloween dessert is such a fun addition to your Halloween celebrations, and easy to make. I made mine in individual cups, which will make about 12-15 cups or you can use a 9×13 pan. However you serve it, everyone will love it!

Easy Peanut Butter and Chocolate Halloween Dip

Ingredients

• 1 Small Box Vanilla Pudding
• 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
• 1 Large Container of Cool Whip
• 1 Small Box of Chocolate Pudding
• 1 Package of Cream Cheese
• 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
• Crushed Butterfingers
• Chocolate Graham Crackers
• Cookies for Dipping
• Wilton Graveyard Decorating Kit (Affiliate)
  

Instructions

Peanut Butter Mousse Layer:

Prepare the vanilla pudding as directed and let it set up for 10 minutes.  Fold in 1/2 cup peanut butter and 1 heaping cup of cool whip.  Fold until blended completely and place in the refrigerator.

Chocolate Mousse Layer:

Make chocolate pudding as directed and let it set up for 10 minutes.  Fold in 1 heaping cup of cool whip, mixing completely and refrigerate.

Cream Cheese Layer:

Mix together one package (8 oz.) of cream cheese with one cup of powdered sugar.  Stir until well blended.

Once all three layers are made, start with the peanut butter mousse and spoon it into your container. Next layer the cream cheese mixture, smoothing it out over the peanut butter mousse.  Top with the chocolate mousse.

In a baggie, crush together Butterfinger and chocolate graham crackers.  Sprinkle over the dessert. Lastly, place the Wilton tombstones and bones on the top.  Making a fun and delicious graveyard!

This fun dessert is delicious enough to eat it with a spoon, but why stop there?  I made this as a dip, so grab some cookies or graham crackers and let the dipping begin!

Halloween Donut Bouquet:

This makes a great birthday gift, hostess gift, center piece at a Halloween party, or for any occasion happening during October.  It couldn’t be simpler to put this together, and delicious to receive!

Shopping List:

• Donuts-I did 7 donuts for this bouquet, but you can do whatever works for your needs. Choose a good variety of colors and shapes.
• Sprinkles
• Frosting
• Bucket or container to hold the bouquet.
• Aluminum Foil
• Candy Eyes
• Skewer Sticks
• Tissue Paper
• Ribbon/Bow

How to Make:

I wanted our donuts to look a little more like Halloween so I used purple, green, and orange frosting to decorate the donuts.  I also added candy eyeballs to some of the donuts, sticking them on with frosting.  Just have fun and be creative with this…it’s supposed to be fun!

After your donuts are ready, put a ball of foil in the bottom of the bucket. Place some tissue paper on top of that to cover the foil.

Then simply stick each donut carefully onto a skewer stick and gently press the stick down into the foil.

Continue this process until your bouquet looks full and awesome.

Finish things off by placing tissue paper in the gaps in your bouquet.  Add a ribbon around the bucket and you have a perfect way to celebrate any Halloween occasion!  Adorable!!

At this time of year I just fall in love with anything candy corn related and so I thought it would be fun to make a caramel corn that looks like candy corn and is packaged cute to make it a fun gift! Here’s our Halloween popcorn recipe and gift idea!

OK, now add a cute little gift tag and it’s perfect:

Candy Corn Caramel Corn Recipe:

Caramel Corn Recipe

Now, to make it look like candy corn caramel corn, you’ll need orange and yellow food coloring and a couple of Ziploc bags.

Put a third of your caramel corn in a Ziploc bag and add a few drops of the orange food coloring.

Shake vigorously and use your hands to smoosh it around a little to get the color to cover the popcorn.

Do this with the yellow in a separate bag.

Then you’ll simply need to layer them in a jar to package it up cute. Yellow on the bottom, then orange, then use your plain caramel corn for the white.
