A few years back I made a really fun Christmas emoji game that you can play for the holidays…and it’s been a HUGE hit!

So then I thought, why not play a fun emoji guessing game at a baby shower too? I think baby shower games need to be fun and creative, no more stale “don’t say baby” or guess how big mom’s stomach is games.

These shouldn’t be too hard to get, so the best option is to make it a race. The first person to get them all finished (and right) is the winner!

How to Play Baby Shower Pictionary:

Once you’ve printed it, cut the words into strips and place them in a big bowl.

At the shower, divide your guests into two teams and have them take turns selecting one team member to draw for the other players on that team. Set the timer for about 45 seconds or a minute (you decide how long you want to give them) and then let them draw and guess as many words as they can in that time. Then the other team gets a turn. Go back and forth until all of the words are drawn, keeping count of how many words each team gets right. The team with the most right at the end wins! You can have a prize or you can just let the pride of winning be the prize.

Sometimes you keep a shower simple and don’t play games, but other times you want something fun to add some fun and excitement and this one will definitely get your guests laughing.

Have you played this dirty diaper baby shower game? It’s a little bit gross and a whole lot of fun and it’s really very easy to pull off on your end! Especially with the help I’m going to give you today.

You don’t need much to play this game-mostly just a bunch of diapers and candy bars and the printable score sheets I have for you. I love to keep things simple and fun!

How to Play the Dirty Diaper Baby Shower Game:

Here’s a quick rundown of how to play this funny baby shower game.

Supplies Needed:

• 10-12 baby diapers
• 10-12 chocolate candy bars that will melt easily (think Milky Way, Reese’s, Almond Joy, Caramello, Mr. Goodbar, 3 Musketeers, etc)
• Printable Score Sheets (see below)

To prepare this game, number each diaper (just write on it with a Sharpie on the front).

Place a candy bar (or part of it) into each diaper:

Melt a candy bar (it only takes a few seconds) inside each one. After it’s a little melty you can stir it around a little bit with a spoon.

At the baby shower, the guests will need to try to make a guess of what type of candy bar is in each diaper. Hand each guest a score sheet, have them number it and then make their guesses. The winner is the person with the most correct!

However you do your invitations, get them made and sent with plenty of time for your guests to plan for the baby shower!

Baby Shower Decoration Ideas:

Are you planning a baby shower? If so, you may be trying to decide if you want to play games and if so, what games? Well, I say YES to baby shower games! They give your guests a chance to interact in a natural way, and gives everyone an opportunity to have some fun.

To that end, I have some fun Minute to Win It baby shower games we think you will love. They are so simple to put together and are a total blast to play.

Baby Shower Games:

Have you ever played minute to win it games? If so, you’re probably a fan because they are seriously so fun and will bring out everyone’s competitive side. I have put together some fun games you can incorporate in your baby shower.

I found everything I needed for these games at my local dollar store, so not only are they simple they are inexpensive. Let’s start with the basics of any Minute to Win It game…every game you play is timed for one minute. So being quick is the key when playing these fun baby shower games.

All of these games are designed to get everyone ready to “help” take care of the new baby! I want to make sure everyone is prepared.

Here’s a list of everything I used for ALL of these games. Again, everything I used came from our dollar store except the diapers! So super affordable.

Okay, let’s play!

Baby Shower Minute to Win It Games:

Change the Baby-

This is played exactly how it sounds. You will provide everyone with a stuffed animal or doll, a diaper, and a onesie and let them race to get the “baby” diapered and dressed. Whoever finishes first, wins! If you have more guests than dolls, you can play this game in shifts. It’s so quick, even in shifts it will go fast.

Wipe it Up-

You will provide each player with a container of baby wipes. To play this game, each player will use only one hand to grab as many wipes as they can in one minute. The person with the most wipes out of the container wins.

Suck It Up-

You will need nose aspirators, a bottle, jar, or cup, and mini marshmallows for each player. This game is played by sucking up as many marshmallows as possible and letting them drop in the bottle. You will play for one minute, and the player with the most marshmallows in their bottle wins.

The trick is working as quickly as possible but keeping a steady hand.

Minute to Win It Games:

Diaper Stacking:

Yep, you guessed it…you are going to be stacking diapers for this game. Give each player a pile of diapers, and they have one minute to stack them as high as possible without tipping them over. The player with the most diapers stacked wins the game.

This is the only game that will require an item (diapers) that isn’t found at the dollar store. But as the hostess of the baby shower, the diapers can double as your gift to the mother to be. The diapers will not be damaged at all in this game, and can be reused.

Feed the Baby:

For this game, your players will need to choose a partner. One player will be blindfolded and will be trying to feed the “baby.” The other player will be fed! I used pudding but you can use applesauce or anything you might feed a baby (without grossing out your guests).

The player who empties their container first wins this game.

Pacify the Baby-

Every good mama needs to know how to pacify her baby, and this is great training. Each player is given a Ring Pop and when you say “GO” they start to suck on their “pacifiers.” The player who finishes their Ring Pop first wins the game.

How fun are these games?! If you want to take it up a notch, provide a fun prize for the winner of the Minute to Win It games. You can assign each game a point value, and keep track of the points throughout all of the games.

Everyone knows just how adorable and snuggly babies are, not to mention completely lovable!  Just talking about babies makes me swoon just a little (okay, I’m swooning a lot).  But I also know just how hard it is to make sure babies have everything they need, and one of the biggies is the insane amount of diapers needed to get a baby through their first year.  That’s what makes this baby diaper cake such a fantastic baby shower gift idea.  It’s both adorable and functional, which will win the day every time!

I will show you just how easy putting together a diaper cake truly is…come take a look!

Baby Diaper Cake:

This diaper cake was so fun to put together because I did it for my little niece and nephew (twins) so it was double the fun!!  You can adjust the color scheme to whatever your needs are, you can even do a gender neutral cake if the gender is remaining a surprise!

Diaper Cake Instructions:

Possible Supplies:

• *Diapers (about 120 diapers, I used one box of diapers for this cake)
• Diaper Cream
• Baby Powder
• Baby Lotion
• Toys
• Stuffed Animals
• Pacifiers
• Brush
• Comb
• Socks
• Clothes
• Blankets
• Hair Bows
• Gift Card
• *Ribbon
• *Rubber bands

You will not need all of these supplies, you can decide how much you want to add to your cake.

*These are the items you will need to complete the diaper cake.

How to Make a Baby Diaper Cake:

• Roll the diapers and wrap them with a rubber band.
• Start to build your layers by standing your rolled diapers in the center of a circle and working your way out.  If you need to use rubber bands to help hold the shape you can place a large rubber band around the whole circle.  When you have your circle complete, wrap it with the ribbon, securing it together.

• Once you have completed the bottom layer, repeat this process for the next 2 layers.  I used about 20 less diapers per layer.

• Stack each layer on top of each other creating a three layered cake.  Once you have the basic cake done, it’s time to add the decorations.  Place your items on the cake where they best fit.  If you have items that can stick in between the diapers, that will help hold them securely.  I used packing tape to help hold items in place, but be careful not to stick the tape to the diapers so they can still be used.

It’s that simple, such a fun and easy gift to give.  Isn’t it so adorable?!

You’ve probably played Taboo during a game night before, but here’s a Baby Shower Taboo like game.

To play: Divide the guests into two teams and have someone draw a card. She needs to get her team to say the word at the top of the card, but she can’t say the 5 words below it as she describes.

Make it a race-each team has 1 minute to guess as many as they can and then it’s the other team’s turn.

I’ve got about 20 cards for you to use and some blank ones so you can create more if ou need them. Here’s a peek at what they look like:

Free Printable Baby Shower Gift Bingo Game:

The main event at a baby shower is ooohing and ahhhing over the gifts, so it’s easy to make this part a game too.

This is a super easy baby shower game for large groups or small groups-no matter how many people you’ve got at the shower, you can play this, as long as there are enough gifts to open to fill up a card!

To play this baby shower bingo game, simply print as many cards as you need, then have guests fill out what they think the new mom will get when she opens the gifts. For example, books, onesies, pajamas, blankets, diapers, or whatever else they suspect might be wrapped in those gifts. Have the fill in each square (they can have duplicates if they want).

Then, as the new mom opens the gifts they can mark off things they have on their card until someone gets BINGO!

Free Printable Baby Shower Matching Game:

This last one is a little bit goofy but usually a big hit at showers. This is probably the best baby shower game for large groups. It’s fun and funny and easy to pull off.

It’s simply a matching game. Place all the cards face down and take turns turning two cards over until you find a match.

The fun twist is that when someone finds a match, there’s a coordinating candy bar as the prize. And they’re meant to make guests giggle a little bit!
