A Peek at the Fun: If you’re throwing a minion birthday party & you’re looking for fun minion party ideas, we’ve got them! Minion favors, decorations, invitations & more.
Bello! (That’s Minion for Hello!) Now, you know that we hardly need an excuse to throw a party-we love them-but is there a better excuse for throwing a party than Minions?! There isn’t a cuter little critter out there! Put them into a party setting and you’ve got perfection!
These Minion party ideas are so much fun, you need to throw a party just to use them! Perfect for a Minion birthday party for kids or even if you just want to have a fun just because party, and the best part, it could be great for boys AND girls both!
Seriously! We know, we know, this is a kid’s party but you are secretly wishing it was for you! You’ve got to throw a Minion party. It will make you smile.
Minion Party Ideas:
Every single thing that we bought for this minions party was purchased at Walmart. And frankly, we couldn’t BELIEVE how easy it was to grab all of our supplies at one store (paper goods, favors, cake mix, shirts, everything), and how great the prices were. Very easy one-stop shopping.
Minion Birthday Invitations:
We started the party planning out with cute Minion birthday invitations:
Simple and cute right?! We’ve got a template that you can use and instructions to personalize it to work for your party. You can right click and save this invitation to your computer, then open it in a program like PicMonkey or PhotoShop and edit it with your own text. It’s easy-we promise! Then print and send.
Minion Decorations:
The table setting for this Minion birthday party is particularly fun! We LOVE these Minion buckets filled with Minion party favors-they add such a cheerful aspect to the party:
To create this table setting we used:
- Yellow Dinner Plates
- Blue Dessert Plates
- Blue Polka Dot Napkins (because we love polka dots and love working them into every party!)
- Yellow Cups
- Minion eyes (see printable below)
We used these cute minion cups. You can print these Minion eyes off here and use tape to attach them to the cups:
Print them here: Minion Eyes
Then we topped it with these Minion Party Favors. We filled them with the following: (everything purchased from Walmart)
- Minion Buckets
- Minion Stickers
- Yellow Shirts
- Paint and Paint Brushes to paint the T-shirts
- Minion suckers (that we made, see below)
- Minion toys and party favors
Each child received a yellow T-shirt to decorate during the party, along with paint and paint brushes to decorate their shirt. They can create their own minion shirt! Here’s a sample, but they can do anything the like!
We also made cute Minion suckers to go inside the favor buckets (or you could decorate the table with them).
Minion Oreo Suckers:
Supplies Needed:
- Oreos
- Yellow Melting Chocolate
- Sucker sticks
- Edible eyes
- Food markers
To make these, you’ll want to stick a sucker stick in each Oreo.
Melt your chocolate in a deep jar or cup. While it is warm, dip your Oreo on a stick into the chocolate. Place an eyeball in the center of your cookie.
Set it on a cookie sheet with wax paper on it to set up. Once you have them all dipped, place them in the freezer for about ten minutes to set up.
After they are totally set up, use your food markers to draw the black stripe on the face of the Minion.
Then you can put him down in the little bucket:
Super cute right?! (And also yummy!)
And of course we had to have some sort of fun Minion cake idea for this party, so we made Minion cupcakes!!!
We really wanted to make these (and the whole Minion birthday party really) simple! These guys are super easy to make. Here’s how.
Minion Cupcakes:
Supplies Needed:
- Cupcakes
- Minion Cupcake Wrappers
- Edible eyes
- Black paper
- Yellow Frosting
To make these, swirl yellow frosting on your cupcake. It’s easy to put yellow frosting in a Ziploc bag, snip one corner off, then pipe it on. Then add a small strip of black paper. Place the big eye on top of it and allow it to set up! Then serve! So easy.
Aren’t they so cute?! We love these Minion cupcakes.
Have FUN using these Minion party ideas to throw a fun Minion birthday party!
