A Peek at the Fun: This easy to make donut tree is going to be a huge hit at Christmas parties! It’ll take you less than 5 minutes to make and guests can grab donuts from it all night long.
I kind of feel like any excuse to create something out of donuts is perfect-it doesn’t have to be much of a reason to convince me. Everyone loves donuts, right? So why not use them to help you celebrate every great occasion? (Mostly I just want to create things with donuts so that I can eat the donuts).
I also know that when you are planning a Christmas party, anything that is easy to throw together but is also going to please your guests is exactly what you need. Which is why I used Christmas parties as an excuse to create something fun with donuts! A donut tree! Seriously, this thing is so simple to make and you know your guests are going to love it.
Lately, I’ve been seeing lots of food trees for Christmas parties like trees made of cheese or vegetables, but I couldn’t help but wonder why no one was making a donut tree! So I did it.
Donut Tree for Christmas Parties:
I am not kidding when I say this is easy to make. Takes hardly any time. I made a cute little cardboard tree to go under it which took a little longer but was still easy. You can make that part or if you already have something great to create your tree on, just skip to the actual donut tree.
Cardboard Donut Tree Tray:
Supplies Needed:
- Red Foil
- Cardboard
- Tape
To make this to go under my tree, I simply cut the shape of a tree out of cardboard box. You can make this as big or small as you want, depending on how big you want your tree to be.
Then we covered it with red foil. You can grab red foil in the same spot that you’d get normal foil.
Donut Tree Instructions:
Supplies Needed:
- Donut Holes (This will depend on how big you want your tree. We used 2 full packages from our grocery store)
- Hershey’s Kisses in holiday colors
I started with the first layer and just laid out the donuts in the shape of a tree. Then added 2-3 layers on top of that.
Then I simply added Hershey’s kisses upside down throughout the tree to look like little ornaments and some at the top to look like a star. So easy!
Then serve it at your party! (Or for Christmas breakfast maybe?) You can refill as needed throughout the party.
Have FUN serving this Donut Tree at your Christmas party!
