Here’s how to play: Cover each character with the candy or marshmallows or snack crackers. Choose one person to be “It”, and send them out of the room. The rest of the group chooses which character on the game board to be “Pete.” The “It” person comes back and starts to eat the candy off the board in whatever order they want. When they reach to grab the “Pete” all the other players yell “DON’T EAT PETE” and that “It” person isn’t it anymore. Choose a new “It” and repeat until all the children have had a turn to be “It.”

Why is it that everything is cuter when it’s small? Puppies are completely irresistible, babies can win your heart over in a minute, and pumpkin pie in a little tiny jar with a miniature spoon? I’m hooked!

Really, there’s just something sweet about things in miniature, and these mini desserts for Thanksgiving are just so cute! It’s a very easy dessert to make-graham cracker crust layered with pumpkin pie mousse and topped with Cool Whip. All packed into a teeny little jar and topped with a cute tag.

I love the idea of taking one of these to a friend for Thanksgiving all packaged up with a cute ribbon or twine, the Grateful tag on top and a tiny spoon tied to it. It’s a fun little Thanksgiving gift idea to tell someone you are grateful for them and their friendship.

It would also be darling to put on of these at each place setting on your Thanksgiving table. A mini dessert ready to be eaten right away! (Then maybe you can save the full dessert for later. Two desserts is ok right…?)

Mini Dessert for Thanksgiving:

Pumpkin Pie in a Jar Recipe

Print Recipe

• Author: Fun-Squared
• Prep Time: 10 minutes
• Total Time: 10 minutes
• Yield: 12 Mini Desserts

Ingredients

• Graham crackers
• 6 Tbsp of butter
• 1 small box of cheesecake pudding
• 1/2 C half and half or milk
• 1 C pumpkin
• 1 tsp pumpkin spice
• 3–4 C Cool Whip
• Cinnamon
• 4 oz. Jelly jars

Instructions

Start by crushing a package of graham crackers until you have crumbs. You want about 1 1/2 C of crumbs. Add 6 Tbsp of butter and mix.

Layer the graham cracker mix at the bottom of the jar (about 1/2 inch to 1 inch thick).

To make your pumpkin mousse, start by combining your box of pudding with 1/2 of cold half and half or milk. Mix.

Then stir in your pumpkin and pumpkin spice. Fold in 2 1/2 C of Cool Whip.

Layer this on top of your graham cracker crust in the jars leaving room to top with Cool Whip.

Top with a layer of Cool Whip and then sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

Seriously-this stuff is GOOD! I had to eat my work of course after I made these!

There’s something so fun about Thanksgiving with the warm cozy feeling, the yummy food and gathering together with friends and family. I love to add fun little touches to the holiday like these cute turkey treat cups.

They are so simple to make. They will look great on the kids’ table at your Thanksgiving dinner or you can package them up and take them to friends. Either way, they are going to be a hit! Fill them up with a super yummy snack mix and…perfection!

Awfully cute right? And very simple to put together. In fact, this is something that the kids could do with you if you want.

Cute Turkey Treat Cups:

Whether you’re going to use these as Thanksgiving favors for your guests or as a little gift to take to friends in November, these are just a fun and sweet way to make the day even more special.

Supplies Needed:

• Brown Cups
• Googly Eyes
• Feathers
• Orange Paper or Craft Foam
• Glue
• Snack Mix

Instructions: 

This is probably fairly self-explanatory, but to make these, you will simply glue the eyes and nose to the front of the cup.

On the back inside edge, glue 3 or 4 feathers.

Allow the glue to dry.

Then you can fill the little guy up!

I recommend using a snack mix. You can mix up anything you have around the house-crackers, nuts, candy, pretzels, marshmallows, you name it!

If you want an actual recipe, here’s my favorite snack mix.

Or…what if you filled him full of chocolate?! That would be perfection right?

Fill him with something great and he’s all set!

We all know how important the Thanksgiving table is on Thanksgiving Day.  I use our best dishes, and try to pay attention to those little details that maybe get overlooked on an average day.  But what to do with the kids’ table?  We all know the kids’ table gets a bad rap as being the leftover table, with mismatched place settings, and whatever we can find to throw on it….well, that ends now!

I’ve put together a fun and simple Thanksgiving Kid’s Table setting for the kiddos to enjoy this year!  It’s so fun, the grown-ups just might be jealous!

Kids Thanksgiving Table:

I started with the fun orange plates and napkins because I know kiddos love bright colors.  And after dinner, these are dishes that don’t need to be washed!  We placed these Cute Turkey Cookies on the plate so the kiddos could have dessert to look forward to…plus he’s just too cute not to show him off!

Isn’t this juice box turkey so cute!?  All I did for this little guy is wrap a juice box with brown construction paper, add a beak made out of orange construction paper, glue googly eyes on, and add feathers to the back.  This is a super simple project you can have the kiddos help with on Thanksgiving Day.

And then I did some fun coloring pages and use them as a centerpiece.

And I wrapped up a little pack of crayons for each kid:

Thanksgiving Day is such a fun day! I love having our family gathered together, cooking, and being able to visit. But have you ever needed something to fill the time between the turkey going in the oven and it coming out? Or an after dinner activity? Some kind of fun Thanksgiving family games that everyone will enjoy? I have just the thing for you…a fun Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt.

I’ve done this several years with my family and it’s a huge hit!  My kiddos look forward to the scavenger hunt every year.  In my family, we send the hubbies out with the kiddos to do the scavenger hunt while the ladies finish up dinner (I know, super cliche to have the women home cooking, but for this event it works like a dream!)  Everyone comes home so excited about their adventures, and the mood of the day is perfection!

This is such a fun way to spend the afternoon…the whole family will love it!  It’s fun to include some acts of service in the scavenger hunts-those are usually everyone’s favorites. I’ve had some great experiences as a family with the service opportunities.

Gotta love how the kiddos work together to figure out a plan to win the scavenger hunt. They get so excited to be part of a team and love to be involved.
