Moving is one of the hardest things ever! It’s exhausting physically and emotionally. I joke with my husband that we are NEVER moving again, even though I know that the steep stairs in our house will be a problem when we are in our 70s. My brother and his family moved this summer (kind of close to us-yay!) and I wanted to do something to support them in the process. I decided to put together a simple little “moving survival kit” to help them get through their first few days in their new house!
You know when you get to that new house and all of your stuff is in boxes and you are trying to find it but you aren’t quite sure where it all went and you forgot that you would need toilet paper and hand soap and simple things like that. It’s crazy!
So here’s what I put together for them.
Moving Survival Kit Gift Idea:
In the kit I included:
- Paper plates and cups
- Toilet paper
- Hand soap
- A hand towel
- Snacks for the kids
- Wet Ones wipes
- A gift card for pizza
- Martinelli’s to celebrate the new house!
What else would you use when you are moving?
An easy kit to put together that I am sure your recipients will love!
Here’s a tag for you to use. Just right click and save to your computer, then open in a program like Word or Pages and size it how you want, then print:
Hope you have FUN giving this gift!
