Summer Party Charcuterie Board Idea:

Isn’t this such a fun idea for your next backyard party?

When you combine HONEY MAID Graham Crackers, HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bars, and JET PUFFED Marshmallows, you know a party is about to happen. And what’s even better? I found them all at our local Dollar General. And best yet, they are having an amazing sale.

I promised easy, and it doesn’t get much more easy than one-stop shopping. They had everything I needed to put this fun s’mores charcuterie board together. Entertaining doesn’t need to be costly or stressful, especially when you have a go-to store like Dollar General in your neighborhood!

Are you ready to get started? Let’s put this together.

S’mores Ingredients:

Shopping List at Dollar General:

• HONEY MAID Graham Crackers
• HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bars
• JET PUFFED Marshmallows

Other Items needed:

• Charcuterie Board: You can use anything for this…a cutting board, large platter, or charcuterie board. If you are using a surface that’s not food safe, place a piece of parchment paper down before placing your s’mores ingredients.
• Skewers
• Chafing Dish Fuel Cans: If you want to provide a place to roast the marshmallows, these can be a fun option. If you have a fire pit or BBQ, you can skip the chafing cans.

Now that you have all of the supplies, it’s time to put this s’mores charcuterie board together.

How To Make this Charcuterie Board:

• Unwrap the HONEY MAID Graham Crackers, HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bars, and JET PUFFED Marshmallows
• Break the HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bars into squares
• Place the HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bars and HONEY MAID Graham Crackers around your board, keeping them together in small clusters.
• Fill in the rest of the board with the JET PUFFED Marshmallows.
• Add chafing dish fuel cans and skewers if you are using them.

That’s it! You are ready for your guests. Place your charcuterie board in a place that people can gather around it and see how social your party becomes. If you are hosting a large party, I recommend doing several charcuterie boards so your guests all have access to it.

These turned out amazing! It just doesn’t get any better than a classic s’more on a summer night!

Summertime!! It’s something everyone loves, right?! I love being with my boys, spending time at the pool, lazy afternoons, summer treats, warm weather, backyard BBQs, the list could go on.  And on and on. 

As summer approached this year I decided to celebrate with a great big School’s Out Party! This Splash into Summer Party for our kids and their friends on the last day of school was a huge hit! I invited everyone over and had candy, food, water games, fun drinks and a great time to officially kick off summer break.

Even though it ended up being a little bit chilly that day (lame!), the kids had an absolute blast and didn’t even mind getting wet. This summer party was perfect to kick off summer break!

Here’s a peek at some of the fun I planned for our Splash into Summer School’s Out Party and ideas for you to use to throw your own.

School’s Out Splash Into Summer Party:

Summer Party Invitations:

I started out by inviting everyone over with cute summer party invitations and water guns. I just tied the cute little invitations to the water guns (you can grab cheap ones from the dollar store). It’s a fun twist on a regular invitation that will get the kids excited and it’s super simple to do! You can download and customize these invitations for your party here.

To use these you will just need to right-click the image and save it to your computer. Then open in a program like Word or Pages and size to whatever size you prefer and print. Or, I’ve got PDFs with some of the images ready to go.

Summer Party Decorations:

My goal was to make this school’s out party bright, colorful, cheerful and fun. I started with a fun Balloon Backdrop just to give it a huge pop of color.

On the table I decorated with candy (because really, what kid doesn’t want candy at a party!):

I had cute little bags and boxes for the kids to fill with a variety of candy. If you prefer you can have the bags or boxes already filled and just have a cute little tag on them to use as party favors:

Summer Party Food:

The kids had just a short day of school for the last day, so I wanted to feed them at this school’s out party. I thought it would be fun to create little box lunches for the kids-they are fun and functional!

I created a cute little box for the bottom from bright colored cardstock and a cardboard bottom, then filled them with a sandwich, bag of chips, water bottle (with a cute printable wrapper which you can grab here) and a squirt gun and fun straw.

Summer Party Drink Station for Kids:

I also wanted part of the party to involve letting the kids create their own fun, summery mixed drinks. (Mostly because I think drink stations are fun! And my kids LOVE making their own drinks.) 

You could use these for a kids party of any sort-something summery, a birthday party, or just to have a fun day with the kids! All you need is a bunch of fun drink stuff for the kids to mix however they want. To make it extra fun we added lots of bright colors and fun straws and balloons and tons of fun!

I made a full party spread of sodas, juices, flavors and even Pop Rocks for them to have fun creating!

Kid’s Drink Party Ideas:

Here are some ideas of things to gather to throw your party:

• Kool-Aid
• Juices
• Hawaiian Punch
• Sprite
• Rootbeer
• Gatorade
• Lemonade
• Pop Rocks Candy
• Drink Mix In Flavorings (I got mine from a restaurant supply store. Grocery stores have some too.)
• Peach Rings

Get creative! You can bring in anything that works for you!

Then let the kids mix what they want! They will probably get a little crazy!

I also threw some colorful and fun toys on the table-water guns, bubble wands, sidewalk chalk, and silly string so the kids could have fun just playing in the yard. 

When the kids showed up we just let them have fun!

The moms did their own fair share of candy eating and sat in the sun. It was a great day. I was thrilled with the party, the kids were thrilled with the party and we were all thrilled to celebrate summer!

The best part of summer is hanging out in the backyard, eating good food and having fun with friends! I just love summer and being outdoors.

I wanted to throw a party and invite some friends over for a good time and a bunch of fun, so I came up with these fun outdoor BBQ ideas to throw a super fun summer BBQ party! I’ve got a cute BBQ party menu that you can print, bbq party food ideas, invitations, games, decorations and everything you need to throw this fun summer BBQ party!

Let’s start out with the summer BBQ party invitations since you’ve got to invite your guests before you can throw the party! I made some cute BBQ invitations that coordinate with the other BBQ party decorations and that you can customize yourself so that they are perfect for your party! Here’s a peek at what they look like:

BBQ Party Menu:

Now the most important part of the party is the food for sure, so let’s talk about that next ok?!

For this outdoor BBQ party, I did a build your own kabob bar and it was a huge hit!

I decided to have our guests build their own kabobs. I had all of the meat and vegetables for people to built their perfect kabob. I also served several sauces-Thai peanut, garlic butter, BBQ, and teriyaki. Our guests could mix and match until they were stuffed! This was such a fun way to serve dinner…everyone gathered around the table and grill making their kabobs.

I even created a cute menu that you can print and use as well if you would like!

I also had premade fruit kabobs which turned out amazing and added such a brightness to the table. A little trick with these kabobs is to add aluminum foil to bucket about halfway up. This allows your kabob stick to have something to stick in and the kabobs will stand straight up.

I wanted to keep the drinks simple, so I served them out of this black bucket. I made sure to provide everyone with their drink of choice. I’ve got printable signs at the bottom of this post that you can print and use on your table too!

Fun Summer Barbecue Party Game Ideas:

Because dinner was such a hit and we all ate a little too much, we needed some time before we headed straight to dessert, so I invited all of the kiddos to play some fun s’mores minute to win it games. The kids loved these games and continued to make up more variations of the games after I was done directing it. Grab these Summer BBQ Game Ideas here!

Because it’s always fun to leave a party with a little something to remember the occasion, I came up with these S’mores Kabobs.  I dipped large marshmallows in chocolate and rolled them in crushed graham crackers…those became the toppers.  I also added brownie bites, Rice Krispy treats, and regular marshmallows. I put them in a cellophane bag, tied it with a cute ribbon, and added a fun free printable tag!
