Although I hate that Summer has to end, I get so excited for Fall and Halloween. There is just something about the cooler weather, drinking hot chocolate, and getting cozy to watch a family movie.

That’s just the beginning of the fall season here in Utah. My family has always loved all of the simple Halloween traditions like dressing up and trick or treating. This Halloween gift is such a fun way to get the season started! It is so easy that I like to whip up a few of them so that I can take them to all of my neighbors, friends, and family.

Halloween Hot Chocolate:

This neighbor or friend gift is as easy as filling a jar with hot chocolate, topping it with some Halloween candy and marshmallows, then printing our cute tag! Now it’s all ready for your friends to pour into a mug. All they need to do is add hot water and they’re all set! Fun right!?

Supply list: 

• Jars (I found these mini jars at Target)
• Hot chocolate
• Candy corn
• Candy pumpkins
• Reece’s pieces peanut butter bites
• Halloween M&M’s
• Marshmallows

Once I had all of my supplies, I started filling my jars. I started with one serving size of hot chocolate. Then I layered it with different Halloween candies and marshmallows! It couldn’t be any easier! Now all you have to do is print my cute tag and you’re all set with this super cute Halloween gift!

Or if you are throwing a party have some jars ready with some sugar rimmed coco mugs for your guests! This is an easy tip to elevate your party.

How to make a sugared rim:

• Put 1/2-1 cup of sugar in a plastic bag (depending on how many cups you will be doing)
• Add a couple of drops of food coloring to the bag and mix until blended
• Place the colored sugar in a bowl
• Pour 1/2 cup of Karo Syrup in a separate bowl
• Dip the rim of your glass into Karo Syrup
• And then dip the glass in the sugar.

I’ve got to admit something to you today. I love chocolate. A lot. Ok, like it might be a problem, but at least it’s a happy problem, right?!

So while I loved the first candy cake that I made because it’s bright and colorful and fun, I knew I needed to make a chocolate version pronto.

And what better way to create a chocolate candy cake than with a Halloween flair? It’s not only cute, but it tastes great too!

So here’s the best Halloween candy cake I can think of!

Ahhhh! Do you love that as much as I do? It’s cute, it’s yummy, it’s Halloweeny, it’s perfect!

Now you could make this Halloween candy cake for anything, but I think it would be the cutest centerpiece for a Halloween party!

It would also make an amazing gift for a friend whether it’s for an October birthday or just because you really love your friends!

This thing is FILLED with candy. So much chocolate!

Halloween Candy Cake Tutorial:

Supplies Needed:

• Hat Boxes (I get mine at the craft store and they come in a pack of 3. I use the largest one (nine-inch diameter) and the middle size one (about 7 inches), but you can use any size you want.
• Candy bars-I used M&Ms for the bottom layer because they take up more space. Then on the next layer we did candy bars-it took about 18.
• Bite-size candy-I filled the empty spaces with the little bite-size candies.
• Ribbon
• Double stick tape
• Rubber bands
• Decorations for the top (I grabbed some at the party store)
• Floral foam to fit inside your top layer

How to Assemble Your Halloween Cake:

This is fairly easy to put together. Here’s a video to show you the process:

Pretty simple!

Start with your bottom layer. (Make sure the opening of the box is down.) I put a piece of double stick tape on the back of each of our candy bars to add some extra strength, then put a rubber band around the whole layer as well.

Do the same thing with your next layer (but make sure the opening of your box is up) and the candy bars.

Place your floral foam inside the top layer and add the accents.

Fill with your bite-size candy in any of the open spots you’ve got.

Then add your ribbon. I also added some cute spiders which I love!

Now you’ve got a perfect centerpiece for your party!

I’m a sucker for Muddy Buddies and when I’ve got to test out 3 different flavors of Halloween muddy buddies (because I want to make sure I’m giving you the best of the best-I’m a giver like that), things get a little crazy and pants get a little tight.

But these Halloween Muddy Buddies are good and when you put one of these cute tags on them and make it into fun Halloween gift ideas to take to friends, good things happen.

There are three amazing flavors-each with a fun Halloween theme and each with a coordinating gift tag so that you can package it up cute.

Simple Halloween Gift:

Once you have chosen your favorite flavor (or make all three), all you need to do is grab a jar, fill it up, and add the cute tag.  These Halloween Gift Ideas don’t get any simpler and your friends will love them.

Monster Muddy Buddies:

  • 9 C Rice Chex
  • 1 1/2 C White Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 tsp Peppermint Extract
  • 1 1/2 C Powdered Sugar
  • Green Sixlets
  • Andes Mints
  • Edible eyeballs

  Instructions

  Pour your Chex in a large bowl.

  In a smaller bowl add your white chocolate and melt in microwave stopping to stir frequently.

  Pour over cereal and mix till evenly coated.

  Pour Peppermint Extract over the mixture.

  Add powdered sugar and mix till covered again.

  Chop Andes Mints into small pieces and add to mix. Add Sixlets and eyeballs and enjoy!

Ingredients

• 9 C Rice Chex
• 1 C Chocolate Chips
• 1/2 C Caramel Sauce
• 2 1/2–3 C Powdered Sugar
• Candy Corn and Candy Pumpkins
• Fall Colored Sixlets

Instructions

Pour Rice Chex in a large bowl.

In a smaller bowl add your chocolate chips and melt in microwave (stirring occasionally to prevent burning).

Pour over your Rice Chex and stir until totally coated. Add your caramel sauce and stir again until it is also coating the cereal. Add powdered sugar and stir (or put a lid on the bowl and shake) until all the cereal is evenly covered.

Add candy corn, pumpkins, and Sixlets.

Mmmmm! This stuff comes out so chewy and nice and is especially good after it has some time to sit.

Ingredients

• 2 C white chocolate chips
• 9 C Rice Chex
• 1 teaspoon coconut extract (optional-add more to taste)
• 1 1/2 powdered sugar
• Mini Marshmallows
• Shredded Coconut
• Sixlets (optional) (Get these at a party store)

Instructions

Melt your white chocolate. This part is tricky because white chocolate can be finicky. Make sure to stir often whether you are doing it in the microwave or on the stove. Heat and mix till melted.

Put your Chex in a big bowl and then pour your white chocolate mixture over it and stir till it’s covering the Chex evenly.

Add in your coconut extract, pouring it over the mixture.

Sprinkle on your powdered sugar and mix till it covers the Chex.

Sprinkle on mini marshmallows and shredded coconut to taste.

Add Sixlets for a pop of color.

If you need a cute gift idea for a friend this time of year, it of course needs to have a fun Halloween flare.  This could not be simpler to put together and you will get extra cool points for creativity.

I started with a plastic cauldron (easy to find almost anywhere this time of year), and loaded it full of fun witchy items.

Halloween Donut Bouquet:

This makes a great birthday gift, hostess gift, center piece at a Halloween party, or for any occasion happening during October.  It couldn’t be simpler to put this together, and delicious to receive!

Shopping List:

• Donuts-I did 7 donuts for this bouquet, but you can do whatever works for your needs. Choose a good variety of colors and shapes.
• Sprinkles
• Frosting
• Bucket or container to hold the bouquet.
• Aluminum Foil
• Candy Eyes
• Skewer Sticks
• Tissue Paper
• Ribbon/Bow

How to Make:

I wanted our donuts to look a little more like Halloween so I used purple, green, and orange frosting to decorate the donuts.  I also added candy eyeballs to some of the donuts, sticking them on with frosting.  Just have fun and be creative with this…it’s supposed to be fun!

After your donuts are ready, put a ball of foil in the bottom of the bucket. Place some tissue paper on top of that to cover the foil.

Then simply stick each donut carefully onto a skewer stick and gently press the stick down into the foil.

Continue this process until your bouquet looks full and awesome.

Finish things off by placing tissue paper in the gaps in your bouquet.  Add a ribbon around the bucket and you have a perfect way to celebrate any Halloween occasion!  Adorable!!

I LOVE these fun carve-able craft pumpkins that you can find at craft stores these days and I love putting together cute gifts, so I thought it would be fun to carve one of these cute pumpkins and then fill it with Halloween fun and make it into a perfect Halloween gift basket! And to make it even cuter, I’ve made mine look like a little bat. A cute, smiling, fun-filled bat. Here’s our cute Batty Gift Idea:

He’s got a mouthful of Halloween fun! You could fill him with candy and treats or little things like socks, stickers, pencils, nail polish, cute band-aids, glow sticks or anything cute. I found a bunch of things in the dollar spot that were perfect.

Batty Halloween Gift Basket:

Supplies Needed:

• Black Carve-able Pumpkin (I got mine at Michael’s craft store)
• Knife to cut with
• Hot Glue
• Large googly eyes
• Black cardstock
• White cardstock
• Printable tag (see below)
• Bat Wing Template

Instructions:

Mark a circle for the mouth opening on your pumpkin.

Cut along the line you just made.

Cut your wings from black cardstock. (There’s a pattern above if you want it.) Cut your fangs from white cardstock.

Use hot glue to attach the eyes, wings, and fangs.

Fill the opening with all your goodies.

This is it! It’s a little early, but I’m ready to hit it with all things Halloween! How can I possibly resist when there are so many fun ideas to work with!? This is a very simple way to tell someone Happy Halloween.

It’s just a little orange treat cup filled with orange candy and tied with a green bow to look like a cute little pumpkin. Add a Halloween tag and you’ve got some simple Halloween gifts to take to friends:

You can fill it with any orange candy you want! I’m thinking those wonderful little candy corn pumpkins would be AWESOME! (Love those little things!) But really, orange slices or orange jelly beans or whatever you want will work!

Then take them to a friend! Or let the kids make them and give them to friends. Just a fun little Halloween gift idea.

Pumpkin Gift Treat Cups:

Supplies Needed:

• Orange Treat Cups
• Orange candy (pumpkins, orange slices, jelly beans, anything you want)
• Halloween Tags (below)
• Green ribbon
• Cellophane bags

First slide your orange treat cup down into a cellophane bag. Then, all you need to do is fill the orange treat cup with your orange candy. Fill it a little above the top.

Tie with a cute green bow and add this tag.
