Easter Goodie Bag Idea:

Isn’t it super cute? And it’s as simple as putting cotton candy in a bag! Here’s what you need-

Shopping List:

• Cotton Candy
• Cellophane Bags
• Stapler
• Cute Printable Tags (See Down Below to Print)

Let’s put these cuties together. Make a ball out of your cotton candy and place it in the cellophane bag. Fold your cellophane over at the top. Cut out the header tags and fold them in half. Place the headers over the folded cellophane and staple in place. Keep in mind while cutting your headers to leave the same width of the tag on the top so you can fold it over on itself.

It’s that simple.

I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ve a house filled with boys, nothing but boys! That means a whole lot of video games, superheroes, Star Wars, and Mario. My boys love all of the classic boy items and with no girls, there’s no sign of pink, ruffles or sparkles anywhere.

Last week I was sitting in a swanky hotel room in my comfy PJs, staying up way too late, chatting with a friend about everything from own deep philosophies on what life in the hereafter will be like to how ugly sweats can often be the comfiest sweats. (And everything in between.)

Somewhere in the midst of all that chatter (seriously 5 days of almost non-stop talking), we came up with this crazy idea that just might be fantastic-turn a wreath into an Easter basket.

Think all the things that would usually go in a basket, grass, candy, toys, presents…all that on an Easter wreath. I love fun Easter basket ideas and want to think outside the traditional basket this year. So here’s our brainchild.

Not every idea I come up with is gold (I know, hard to believe), and when I’ve been staying up too late, there’s no telling how something’s going to turn out once I put an idea into action, but I think this one is FUN!

I thought this might be a fun surprise for some of the older kids who have gotten baskets for years and might want something new and different this year.

And it was surprisingly easy to make.

Unique Easter Basket Idea:

Here’s what you will need to make this fun Easter basket idea!

Supplies Needed:

• Wreath form (any size, depending on how big you want your wreath)
• Easter grass (I used 3 packages and could have used more)
• Hot glue gun and glue
• Candy, toys, gift cards, whatever you want to put on the wreath
• Ribbon for a bow

Instructions:

Start by putting a big pile of hot glue on the wreath form, then quickly place a bunch of grass on that spot and press it down.

Continue doing that around the whole wreath until it’s totally covered. Fill in any spots that seem like they need a little more.

Then fill in the wreath with your candy and other items. You can hot glue them in or put them on skewer sticks and stick the sticks down into the wreath if you don’t want hot glue on your items.

Add a bow (hot glue again and fill it all up and you’re all set!

And give it to your kiddos! I hope they love it!

Easter Bunny Treat:

Supplies Needed:

• Tasty Kake Snowballs
• Edible Eyes
• Pink Gumballs
• Toothpicks or sucker sticks
• Printable Bunny Ears
• Frosting
• Hot Glue

Instructions:

Print your bunny ears and cut them out around the ears. Hot glue the bunny ears onto a stick and let it cool.

Using frosting on the back of your eyes and nose, stick them to the front of the snowball.

Stick the ears down in on the top and you’ve got a bunny!

Bunny Gift Tag:

Now if you want to use the cute Easter gift tag, here it is! You can right-click and save it to your computer and open in a program like Word or Pages to size it or you can open the PDF that has several of it on there already.

I always love an excuse to add a little fun to life and holidays are the perfect time for that. It’s an excuse to come up with cute gifts, make fabulous treats and in this case, play fun games with your kids!

How to Play Don’t Eat Bunny:

Cover each character with the candy or marshmallows or snack crackers. Choose one person to be “It”, and send them out of the room. The rest of the group chooses which character on the game board to be “Bunny.” The “It” person comes back and starts to eat the candy off the board in whatever order they want. When they reach to grab the “Bunny” all the other players yell “DON’T EAT BUNNY” and that “It” person isn’t it anymore. Choose and new “It” and repeat until all the children have had a turn to be “It.”

Easter Egg Hunt Printable Game:

This Easter game is just something fun for young kids. They can search all over the page looking for eggs and circle them when they find them. Something to keep them entertained for a few fun minutes.

A year I spent the better part of my workday trying to create cute little bunny jars that would have a cute little bunny face, maybe some paws and of course a fluffy white tail. Now, not every project I try comes out great and most take some tweaking, but after hours working on those bunny jars, I had to call it a loss because they were AWFUL!

So for the last year any time I screw something up I lovingly refer to the project as “bunny jars.”

But good news today. I did a new version of bunny jars this year and this time I think they came out adorable. (You be the judge.) These are super cute Easter gift ideas that I think you will love!

They are super simple but aren’t they adorable!?

Cute Easter Bunny Gifts:

These are so simple to make! I had fun making them and hope you will too!

Supplies Needed:

• Flower Pots
• Paint
• Foam Paint Brushes
• Ribbon
• Large White Pom Poms
• Hot Glue
• Easter Gift Tags (grab the tags below)

Instructions:

Start out by painting your pots in any pastel color you love. I had to do about 3-4 coats for each one to get the paint to cover completely.

Once they are dry, hot glue the pom-pom to the back of your pot.

Then add your ribbon and tag.

I filled these little guys with our cute bunny bait Easter snack mix.

When I pick up my kids after school on my work days, the first thing they ask if I have anything yummy for them to eat! They know that on good days when I’m working on some sort of fun treat and they get to be the lucky recipients when I’m done.

This Bunny Bait (and all the snack mixes I have created) was a huge favorite with my boys. Little do they know that it’s super easy to pull together. But it tastes great! (I have to admit to eating a lot of it while I’m taking the pictures.) It will make a perfect Spring or Easter snack for a party or just for an after school snack for your kids.

Doesn’t that make you want to grab a handful?

Bunny Bait Snack Mix Recipe:

Here’s how I made my bunny bait Easter snack mix.

Ingredients: 

• Pretzels (some of them chocolate covered)
• Popcorn
• Cadbury Mini Eggs
• Bunny Crackers
• Colored Marshmallows
• Nuts

That’s what I included, but you can include other things.

My biggest goal was to include a good combination of sweet and salty. And to add fun pastel colored snacks to give it that fun Springy feel.

If you want to do some chocolate covered pretzels, just pick a pastel melting chocolate. (I got mine at the craft store.) Melt it and dip. I thought it was cute to do half the pretzel.

Now you could package it up cute and give it as a little gift. Or put it in a cute bowl and serve it at a party!

So cute right! (I couldn’t resist these bowls when we found them in the dollar spot at Target!)
