When I say Diet, you say Coke…Diet Coke!  Am I the only one who gets excited about my favorite drink?!  I would gladly trade in a baked cake for this awesome Diet Coke Cake any day of the week.  Don’t get me wrong, I love birthday cake, but I think this Diet Coke Cake is such a fun twist on a classic birthday cake.  I’m celebrating my birthday week this week and this Diet Coke Cake is the perfect addition to the party…I love how it turned out.  And even better, I love having this baby at my house!  So, if you know someone celebrating a birthday soon, find out their favorite drink and start making them a “cake.”

Diet Coke Cake:

How fun is this?  I love the way it turned out and it was super simple to put together.

Supplies Needed:

• Soda Cans (29)
• Ribbon
• Card board to place each layer on (I used cake boards 6, 8, and 12 inches)
• Bow
• Hot Glue

Here’s How to Make This:

Step 1-

Start with the bottom layer and place one can in the center of the 12 inch board.  Place 6 more cans around the center can, making a circle.

Place 12 cans on the outer layer to complete your bottom layer of the cake.  Make sure all of your cans are as close together as they can be.  Wrap a ribbon around the circle and hot glue it together on the back side (pull the ribbon as tight as you can get it).

Step 2-

Put your 8 inch board on the top of your bottom layer.  Place a can in the center of the 8 inch board and then place 6 more cans around the center can.  Wrap a piece of ribbon around this layer and secure it in place with hot glue.

Step 3-

Place your 6 inch board on top of the middle layer and center 3 cans on it.  Wrap the ribbon around using hot glue to secure it.  Top your cake with a bow and you are ready to go!

This is simple and quick, and a perfect way to say Happy Birthday!
