Mexican Fiesta Party Decorations:

The party decor for this fiesta was so much fun! Amber and Josh have a big deck with lights strung up on it and we added these fun Mexican party flags around the edges. It made it so colorful and fun!
Then we had a super fun backdrop for our table. We started with some fun tissue paper fringe and then made a fiesta sign. To do this we grabbed some fun paper fans and cut out the letters FIESTA to put on it. The best way to do this then was to hot glue the fans to a big poster board and then glue the letters on top of that. Then cut the part of the poster board that shows through behind the fans off so that it doesn’t show. We then put it on a yardstick and duck taped the sign to the backdrop with fringe covering the parts we didn’t want showing.
This made a great backdrop for the party because it was so bright and colorful!
We also grabbed some other fun accents to decorate with.
- Fiesta Tablecloth
- Fiesta Serving Dish for Chips and Dip
- Cactus Piñata
- Plastic Margarita Glasses
- Fiesta Party Plates
Here’s a peek at the table spread with some fun decor accents:
How fun are these plates?! They were a very fun accent for the party. These ones were from Zurchers but Amazon has some fabulous ones too.
Here’s a fun idea: put your chips in the rim of a sombrero to serve them!
And of course cute cups:
And speaking of serving food, let’s talk about food ideas!
Mexican Party Food Ideas:
We kept the food for this party simple but people LOVED it! They gobbled it up!
We had a salsa bar with several types of chips and lots of types of salsa.
Here’s some of what we served.
This fruit salsa was a HUGE hit. Rave reviews. Grab the recipe here. We served these with cinnamon sugar pita chips (or regular chips are great with it too.) Seriously, make this for your party and your guests will be happy.
We also served this black bean salsa.
Yum! Dig in!
Salsa Bar Ideas:
In total our salsa bar included:
- Queso (we bought this from a local Mexican restaurant)
- Chili’s salsa
- Fruit Salsa (recipe above)
- Black Bean Salsa (recipe above)
- Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips
- Blue Corn Chips
- White Corn Chips
Then we also served churros with a couple of dipping sauces:
We also had virgin Margaritas for people (mostly because the cups are so cute but we are non-drinkers). Here’s the virgin margarita recipe we used.
Honestly, this party was so much fun! Hopefully, these ideas will get you rolling on throwing a great party of your own!
Have FUN throwing your Mexican themed party!
