What’s the Project? This cute Valentine’s Day breakfast is sure to make your kids smile on the big morning and it’s easy for you to pull off. They are going to love this and you’ll feel like super mom.
I don’t do a ton for Valentine’s Day, but I like to do a few small things to make the day special for my kids and my husband.
My tradition is to have something sitting on the kitchen table for my boys when they come down for breakfast in the morning, so this cute Valentine’s Day breakfast is perfect for them.
Plus, how cute is is this little pancake man?
I mean, who wouldn’t be happy to wake up to something that cute?! And really, it’s not hard to make it and your kids (or grandkids) will think you’re amazing!
Valentine’s Day Breakfast:
Here’s how to make him.
Shopping List:
- Pancake Batter
- Heart-Shaped Cookie Cutter
- Strawberries
- Raspberries
- Banana
- Whip Cream in a Can
- Heart-Shaped Marshmallows (or something heart-shaped to use for the eyes)
- Cute Heart Themed Paper Products
Valentine Breakfast Instructions:
Make your pancake batter as directed on the package. Spray your cookie cutter with cooking spray on the inside rim. Place the cookie cutter on a flat griddle or middle of a nonstick pan and pour your batter in the cookie cutter.
*If the batter starts to leak out, push down on the cookie cutter for about 10-15 seconds until it starts to cook.
When it’s ready to be flipped, flip the entire cookie cutter over. The pancake will slide down so it’s on the hot surface. When your pancake is golden brown, remove from the pan and the cookie cutter.
Place your pancake in the center of your plate, add fruit to make legs, arms, and face. Add your heart-shaped marshmallows for the eyes and he’s complete.
Super quick and simple, but you’ll be a superstar when your family sees this little guy!
If you want to change things up, this fun heart-shaped pancake with an arrow through it is also a fun option. Use the same process, but instead of adding arms and legs, put a skewer through the pancake and add the raspberries and marshmallow to the ends of the skewer. Top it with the whipped cream and you have a cute and delicious breakfast.
Either way, this cute Valentine’s Day breakfast is sure to make your kids smile.
