What’s the Project? These super cute and easy Halloween cupcakes with pumpkin faces are a perfect addition to any Halloween party or just something fun to make for the kids.
It probably won’t be long before you start to realize that I have a major thing for cupcakes! I am absolutely addicted to making them and of course, I love to eat them. Usually, I just love a yummy cupcake (especially if it’s chocolate), but make it as cute as these and I really swoon!
I am a MAJOR sucker for anything with those cute little eyes too!
These easy Halloween cupcakes take about 10 minutes to decorate-so quick and easy and those little pumpkin faces are so cute, aren’t they?
Wouldn’t these be perfect for a Halloween party? They are so cute and you could decorate a bunch of them really quickly and easily and they’ll make a darling addition to any party.
Or they are easy enough to make that you could let the kids join you in making them! Could be fun to make at home too!
Easy Halloween Cupcakes with Pumpkin Faces:
Ready to make some of these cuties for Halloween this year?
You can use any cupcakes to make these, but here’s our favorite recipe if you’d like to use it.
Cute & Easy Pumpkin Face Halloween Cupcakes
Ingredients
- White Cake Mix
- 1 large box of vanilla pudding
- 1/2 C water
- 1 C sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 1 C vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Line 24 cupcake tins with paper liners and fill with cake batter.
- Bake for about 18 minutes at 350 degrees.
Decorating the Cupcakes:

- Orange Frosting (want a good recipe? Grab it below.)
- Green Tootsie Fruit Chews
- Edible Eyes
Using a Ziploc bag with a corner snipped off or a piping bag, pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes in a spiral pattern.
Quickly (while the frosting is still wet) add the edible eyes. Then add your green tootsie fruit chew down into the top of the frosting and you’re all done!

Easy Buttercream Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 sticks softened butter
- 4 –6 C powdered sugar
- 1/4 C milk
- Orange Food coloring
Instructions
- Beat butter, powdered sugar, and milk. If it seems too thick, add a tiny bit more milk. Too runny? Add a little more powdered sugar.
