After the hustle and bustle and business of Christmas, I love to celebrate New Year’s Eve because it’s a chance to slow down and really enjoy being with our families.

And is there anything better than New Year’s Eve food? Or New Year’s Eve games?

It’s really a very fun night and whether you love to stay up until midnight or if you’d rather play some games and then call it a night, these New Year’s Eve minute to win it games are a fun way to celebrate because they are perfect for all ages!

New Year’s Eve Minute to Win It Games:

Here are a handful of fun NYE party games. Pick and choose which ones sound fun to you!

New Year’s Toast:

This minute to win it game is super easy!

Supplies Needed:

• Bottle of Martinelli’s
• Glow Sticks

How to Play:

Set the bottle on the floor and then draw a line many feet away. Wrap the glow sticks into circles. Each player must stand behind the line and toss the glowsticks and try to ring the bottle. The person who rings the most wins! For a fun twist, you can turn out the lights so that the glow sticks are glowing while you play if you’d like!

Midnight Kiss New Year’s Eve Minute to Win it Games:

It’s a tradition to kiss at midnight right? This fun game is all about kissing.

Supplies Needed:

• Blindfold
• Lipstick
• Poster with a face

This one is maybe not quite a minute to win it game, but it’s still fun. Play this like pin the tail on the donkey but instead of a donkey, you’ll want to make a poster with a face on it. Blindfold each player, put lipstick on their lips and let them try to plant the midnight kiss. The person who kisses closest to the lips wins!

Watch the Ball Drop:

Watching the ball drop is another timeless tradition for the last night of the year, so this game is themed around that.

Supplies Needed:

• Blindfold
• Ping Pong Balls
• Hat (if you don’t have a hat you can use a bowl. A hat just felt festive for the New Year holiday.)

Have the player stand on a chair and blindfold that player. The player has one minute to drop as many balls as possible and try to land the in the hat. The player with the most balls in the hat at the end wins!

Party Blower Races:

Grab your party blowers and get ready to race!

Supplies Needed:

• Party blowers
• Paper cups

Starting at one end of the table (or you can do this on the floor if you’re agile enough), get two players ready. When you say go, they’ve got to use the party blowers to push a cup from one end to the other. The first one to cross the finish line wins! If you’ve got kids doing this, put them on the floor and make them go a long ways! It will be fun!

Dress Up for the Holiday:

Finally, why not get a little crazy with these New Year’s Eve minute to win it games?! This one is nutty.

Supplies Needed:

• Party hats
• Glow sticks
• Goofy glasses
• Party Blowers

The idea behind this one is just to get a little crazy. Have your players dress up in a party hat, glasses (they’re just to add to the look-they aren’t really part of the game), and give them a party blower. Just like the others, draw a line and have the first player stand behind that. Have your other player (the one dressed up) across the room. The player behind the line has one minute to toss the ringed glowsticks while the second player has to try to catch them either on their hat or on their blower. The team with the most after one minute wins!

Every year I host a Christmas party for family the week before the big day. (Bonus-this yearI get to host from our new home!!) The party includes dinner and presents, laughing and treats and is the highlight of the Christmas season for my family.

Now, I love to focus on all the details when I throw this party! The plates and napkins will match perfectly, I have a decorating theme and I *might* even go to Hobby Lobby a couple of days before to find new holiday decorations to make the food buffet look perfect.

So this holiday punch recipe that features a punch bowl ice ring is just a given at a festive Christmas party like this. It’s a fun punch idea that adds a perfect touch to your drinks, but (shhhhh), it’s super easy to make!

How pretty is that? Adds a nice touch to the punch right?!

Punch Idea-Punch Bowl Ice Ring:

This really is super simple to make. You’ll want to make sure you give yourself enough time though since it needs to freeze, so if possible, make it the day before or at least many hours in advance.

Supplies Needed:

• Large Cake Pan or Tupperware
• Smaller Bowl or Cake Pan
• Juice (any flavor will work-we used a Cranberry mix)
• Green Grapes
• Cranberries
• Oranges

Instructions:

Here’s a video of the process:

Take your large cake pan or Tupperware (ideally this is about the size of the top of your punch bowl) and place the smaller bowl or cake pan in the center.

Place grapes (about 3 clumps of them and then some just loose), cranberries and orange slices throughout the outer edge of the bowl.

Pour juice around outer edge several inches deep.

Place in freezer and allow it to freeze completely.

Once it’s frozen, take it out of the freezer. Fill your sink a couple of inches deep with warm water and place the pan in it to soften the ice ring a little bit until you can remove it from its container.

Place it in the punch bowl and fill with cold punch (cold so the ice ring doesn’t melt too fast). Then serve!

The ice ring will serve as the ice for your punch!

Holiday Punch Recipe: 

With this fun punch idea of an ice ring, your punch itself doesn’t have to be anything too fancy. I just use a combination of 7UP and Pomegranate 7UP and it was perfect. You can also use 7UP and cranberry juice. As the ice ring melts it will add a little kick to the holiday punch as well.

Seriously, this fun punch idea is going to be perfect for next holiday party right? You can wow your guests and they won’t even realize how easy it was!

I’m definitely a big believer in celebrating the New Year right!  Getting together with family and friends, eating way too much food, playing games, and having so many laughs as we countdown our way to the New Year is our kind of heaven.  These simple New Year’s Eve party favors add such a fun flare to any New Year’s celebration I couldn’t resist.  I have all of the details for you!

Simple New Year’s Eve Party Favors:

I had so much fun as I browsed our way through Oriental Trading looking for New Year’s Eve party supplies.  With so many fun things to add to our party favors it was hard to narrow down the options.  Seriously, these top hats…I’m in love!

I wanted to dress up the top hats by adding this “Happy New Year” script.  It was super simple to cut out with gold sparkly card stock, and then I glued it right to the hats.  Add this festive gold ribbon, and these hats are ready to party with you all night!

Let’s talk about what fun party supplies I used to fill our hats…

Supplies Needed:

Happy New Year!!  Can you believe we are saying goodbye to 2016 already…where does the time go?  With 2017 right around the corner, it’s time to celebrate the upcoming year.  I want to help you celebrate with this fun “Sparkling New Year’s Gift.”
