Much to my dismay, I have a son who loves all things football. He currently plays on his high school team, which isn’t my favorite due to the high chance of injuries. Bringing me to the point of this post. My son’s best bud tore his knee up at football practice leaving him needing surgery. Yikes!

One of the proudest moments as a mother happened when my son told me he wanted to get his friend a get well soon gift basket and came up with this fun idea. I couldn’t have been more proud. So full disclosure, this was all my son’s idea!

I’m “Soda” sad you are hurt pretty much sums up how much my boys talk to their friends. Not really boys with lots of words. But it was such a fun and simple idea for a get well soon gift basket. We made sure to buy all of his favorite treats and it was a hit.

If you are stumped for ideas, just try to think what would be helpful to someone who is recovering. So they are probably not super mobile and might not feel great.
