What’s the Project? Got a friend who is feeling down? This bright and colorful gift box of fun is a sweet cheer up gift that you can give or send to help your friend know that you care.
It’s a dreary time of year (at least where I live) and sometimes it bums me out. What bums me out, even more, is when a friend is struggling with one of life’s challenges and I feel like we can’t fix her problems.
Doesn’t it seem like life is always dealing someone a hard hand?
Sometimes I just want to do something to brighten someone’s day, so I’ve put together a bright and colorful and fun cheer up gift idea that you can give a friend who needs something to brighten their day!
I just filled up a box with everything bright and color and fun that I could find! It’s kind of fun to shop for really bright things! And stuffed it with bright colored tissue paper and colored ribbon and these fun tags.
One side is gray and dreary, the other bright and cheery! (If you want you can make a note to flip the tag over after they’ve read the gray side.)
Cheer Up Gift:
Really, all you have to do to put together this fun cheer up gift is hit the store and look for colorful things to put in it. The beauty of thinking of you gifts is that you can customize it for your recipient and whatever you do it will be thoughtful.
Ideas to Include in the Cheer Up Box:
- Candy
- Socks
- Nail Polish
- Pens
- Gum Balls
- Lip Gloss
- Lotion
- Soap
- Notebooks
- Jewelry
What else would you include?
Thinking of You Gift Tags:
Here are the tags for you to use. To make it super easy I have a PDF with several on it ready to print. If you print front and back they should flip over perfectly with the gray on one side and the colorful on the other.

Or, if you prefer, here are the tags themselves. You can right-click and save to your computer and open and size as you like and then print.
Put it all together and you’ve got something nice to send to a friend in need of a thinking of you gift.
